1. What is the workshop?

The workshop is the classroom where we can develop and build our projects, because it is designed to use tools, computers and robots.

It has special with workbencheshigh stools and there’s special machinery.

To prevent accidents in the workshop, we must always follow the teacher’s instructions. We must also follow these :rules

Safety rules when using tools

You must understand how to use tools and machinery correctly before you start working with them.

Don’t work with things you are not used to: tools or materials.

Use the right tool for each task.

Before you use a tool, check that it is in good working order with no broken parts.

Safety rules when doing tasks

Always have a specific task to do

Don´t get distracted or involved in practical jokes.

You should be in a good physical and mental state.

Learn how to use each tool.

Use the correct protective equipment.

Make a list of the activities that might be dangerous in the workshop. Share your ideas with your classmates.

4. Signs

There are four types of graphic signs in the workshop: mandatory, emergency, prohibition and warning. It’s important to learn the most common ones:
