Steven Christensen is a Los Angeles based architect and educator. He is a member of the design faculty in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at UCLA, and has previously taught courses in design, drawing, construction technology and alternative practice at the University of Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Utah, and a Master in Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. Christensen is a licensed architect in California and Utah, and he has contributed to widely published and exhibited projects for firms including Preston Scott Cohen and CORE. His research and practice are guided by his backgrounds in architecture and psychology, with a recent focus on gestalt spatial perception, optics, media, and the cultural connotations of form.
