Due to the emerging of the lifestyle and fashion, the capulana economy and culture are under severe threats: 1-Chinese prodution dominance 2-Capulana become replaced by Mivenda (2th- hand- clothes) – Western Charity 3- Traditional capulana modelling is replaced by western modelling

1- “Able” means action research( Kurt Lewin , 1946)-interven in the fashion system or situation researched 2- “Able” to fashion, not as a western meanning : ephemere,superficial, mundane and individual identity but as “able” to a meshwork for redesigning design 3- “Able “is a notion of collaboration, co-prodution and building- on existing fashion codes Mozambique vs Portugal vs Global 4- “Able” to small protocol change’s : social entrepeneuship in a small-scale action 5-”Able” is designing sustainability and green clothing care keeping the project flexible as a key issue and building fashion interfaces between profissional and amateurs. 6- “Able” is made by participatory -action -research with population or consumers on selected culture and sub-culture. 7- “Able” to read and write trought a upcycling fashion process and practice

Work in progress - methodologies Qualitative methodology - Bibliographyc analisys – identify the main author’s to better argument state of art -Travel to Mozambique as soon as FCT financemment is active - Exploratory interviews , observation and field notes - Based on Grounded Theory: Devellop a fashion laboratory observateur on CITEV : actually the students work together with Kutsemba association on the object Capulanas Moinho da Juventude, Cova da Moura, Sabura project , to devellop capulana laboratories by exploring diaspora creativity.
