The Importance of Understanding The History of Communication Understanding the history is an important factor, that plays a great role in knowing the motivation that made the entrepreneurs coop with people’s needs and wants and work hard to invent a technology that helps making their lives easier, in a way or another. In the other hand, studying the history is a chance for us to learn to appreciate the hard work that have been done, and to be aware enough about the roots of the technologies available now, despite how simple they are compared to nowadays’ inventions. Moreover, all of that is much more important in knowing and understanding what is happening around us in these days. Since we live in a huge world, wide areas, different locations, the need of reaching each others, and recording events have build up the want of making something that could help in covering those needs, so entrepreneurs started to enter the competition of who will be credited for what kind of inventions. Nowadays, we can clearly observe that we are living in a super easy communication period. That is because basic ways of communicating with people overseas are available, and much more are there, in addition to that they are being developed day after day. Even though some people might think that is enough, but inventors are working hard into developing devices and mediums into more benefiting, luxuries ones. understanding the history allows scientists to really have more power and pushes them toward giving more, because people who have done the first inventions were really working from nothing else than natural resources, and really basic ones, in which they face lots of barriers before reaching the point of convenience, affordability, portability, and sustainability. Nevertheless, all that was processed with no electricity power, depending on humans’ power. Moreover, scientists combined all the efforts that have been done throughout the huge period of time from 3000 BC to the late 19th century, to step into a better process towards reaching the Mass Media era, where we have various and ways to communicate.

To sum up, through the study of the history, we gain an understanding of what and why things happened. History gives us back our past, where individuals need a memory to shape their identities, and plan for the future. Whereas, communities need history to give dimension and meaning to the present. Without an understanding of the past, the present doesn't make much sense
