Dadaji’s moral stories for kids THE JACKAL AND THE DRUM
There was a dog who was very greedy. He often took food from weaker dogs. One day he was pleased to find a loaf. He took the bread in his mouth and thought, “I'll go a little farther and eat it.” He ran and reached the river. The dog glanced into the river. He saw his reflection in the water. He saw the image and thought that another dog was standing there and that he had a loaf in his mouth. Seeing the bread in the other dog's mouth, he thought, “If I get this dog's bread, I will have two loaves.” So, he opened his mouth to bite the other dog but the bread fell into the deep water. He realized his greed and went back home hungry. Moral: Greed can bring bad results.
