some great actors on this picture, Steve. We had Jim Parrack from Suicide Squad and Fury opposite Brad Pitt, and Bianca Santos from The Duff and The Fosters and David Koechner even from Anchorman and The Office. I was a little nervous that they would sort of pummel me as an actor with their superiority of experience and they just loved on me and really kind of built me up as an actor which was for someone much younger in the craft was very... I owe a lot to them and I was very encouraged by their grace in the process. ST: How did they build you up? How did that work? They really worked at it and that passion is contagious so when they were being just consummate professionals it really allowed me to have the confidence to feel like that they weren’t sort of judging me on screen or anything. They were letting me do my job and they were taking theirs equally seriously. ST: I defy anybody who watched this movie to guess that this was your first starring role. Are you a big fan and student of the movies or what? JS: I love the arts, Steve. I love music and movies, even growing up, were always a passion of my heart. I did music with my younger brother Luke obviously and still do in the band, for KING & COUNTRY, and then my older brother, Ben, is a filmmaker and so we would always do these kind of Indiana Jones films with a Super 8 camera gallivanting through our parents’ backwoods in our farm and Luke, my younger brother, was always the first one to get killed. Max Lucado: My Prediction for November 9 BY MAX LUCADO

We are really ready for this presidential election to be over. We’re ready for an end to the rancor and tackiness. Voters on both sides feel frustrated, even embarrassed by it all. There is a visceral fear, an angst about the result. What if so and so wins? When we wake up to November 9, post-election, when the confetti is swept away and the election is finally over, what will we see? I have a prediction. I know exactly what November 9 will bring. Another day of God’s perfect sovereignty. He will still be in charge. His throne will still be occupied. He will still manage the affairs of the world. Never before has His providence depended on a king, president,

or ruler. And it won’t on November 9, 2016. “The LORD can control a king’s mind as he controls a river; he can direct it as he pleases” (Proverbs 21:1). On one occasion the Lord turned the heart of the King of Assyria so that he aided them in the construction of the Temple. On another occasion, he stirred the heart of Cyrus to release the Jews to return to Jerusalem. Nebuchadnezzar was considered to be the mightiest king of his generation. But God humbled and put him in “detention” for seven years. “The kingdom is the Lord’s, and He rules over the nations” (Psalms 22:28). Understanding God’s sovereignty over the nations opens the door to peace. When we realize that God influences the hearts of all rulers, we can then choose to pray for them rather than fret about them. Rather than wring our hands we bend our knees, we select prayer over despair. Jeremiah did this. He was the prophet to Israel during one of her darkest periods of rebellion. He was called “the weeping prophet” because he was one. He wept at the condition of the people and the depravity of their faith. He was so distraught that one of his books was entitled Lamentations.

But then he considered the work of God. Note the intentionality of his words: This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lam. 3:21-23) Imitate Jeremiah. Lift up your eyes. Dare to believe that good things will happen. Dare to believe that God was speaking to us when he said: “In everything God works for the good of those who love him” (Romans 8:28). Many years ago, I spent a week visiting the interior of Brazil with a long-time mis-

sionary pilot. He flew a circuit of remote towns in a small plane that threatened to come undone at the slightest gust of wind. Wilbur and Orville had a sturdier aircraft. I could not get comfortable. I kept thinking that the plane was going to crash in some Brazilian jungle and I’d be gobbled up by piranhas or swallowed by an anaconda. I kept shifting around, looking down, and gripping my seat. (As if that would help.) Finally, the pilot had had enough of my squirming. He looked at me and shouted over the airplane noise. “We won’t face anything I can’t handle. You might as well trust me to fly the plane.” Is God saying the same to you? If so, make this your prayer: Dear Lord, You are perfect. You could not be better than you are. You are self-created. You exist because you choose to exist. You are self-sustaining. No one helps you. No one gives you strength. You are self-governing. Who can question your deeds? Who dares advise you? You are correct. In every way. In every choice. You regret no decision. You have never failed. Never! You cannot fail! You are God! You will accomplish your plan. You are happy. Eternally joyful. Endlessly content. You are the king, supreme ruler, absolute monarch, overlord, and rajah of all history. An arch of your eyebrow and a million angels will pivot and salute. Every throne is a footstool to yours. Every crown is papier– mâché to yours. No limitations, hesitations, questions, second thoughts, or backward glances. You consult no clock. You keep no calendar. You report to no one. You are in charge. And I trust you. Circle November 9 on your calendar and write upon it the words: Our good God rules the world.

I never regret taking the time to pause and reflect with others or in prayer with God, but I have found myself emotionally strained and exhausted when I do neglect such needed social and spiritual breathers. If I could impart one token of advice after being in college for a little over a month, it is to simply not be timid- put yourself out there! When I say this I do not mean it in the sense of acting out of your ordinary self. Rather, challenge yourself to truly be who you are even when meeting others for the first time.

While it can be hard to connect at first, the key is to be open to fully immerse yourself in what your college campus has to offer. Living single is a common experience for many couples. When couples are close in proximity to one another but not really connected or engaged they are living single. They are living lives parallel to each other, at the same speed, with similar schedules but their paths rarely - if ever - touch. This is not a new problem. In fact, we see Adam and Eve, the first couple, had a similar problem in Genesis 3:1-7. Adam and Eve faced the first big dilemma in their marriage –temptation from the devil to disobey God. They did not know what the ramifications of disobedience could be, but did know the boundaries God placed in their lives. We see that Adam and Eve were close, but not engaged in each other’s lives. At this critical point in their relationship, Adam did not intervene. He stood by, almost waiting, to see what would happen when Eve ate the fruit. When nothing appeared to happen, and she offered it to him, he took the fruit himself and ate it. Waiting for Eve to eat the fruit, instead of protecting her, and blaming her once

confronted by God about what he’d done doesn’t sound very loving to me. They were close, but yet so far apart. They were running parallel, but on different paths. When couples find themselves in this situation they often over-react in order to compensate. But it doesn’t have to be hard. We can take simple steps. For instance, what if we just made the mundane more meaningful? There are things around my house Kristen and I hate to do - folding laundry, dusting, and folding laundry. So we try to take on these kinds of projects together. While doing so, we have conversations and reconnect. Making the mundane meaningful is not adding “something else” to your already busy life, because the mundane is already there. A side benefit is that it makes a task we avoid go a little faster. ies so this was just a great, wonderful opportunity to really explore that in a way that we had never had before. ST: So jumping ahead, it’s not really fair I know, because I know this is so exciting right now with the traction that’s it getting, the good reviews from LA Times and Variety--these are big-time secular sources that are talking about how well told the story is told ... so what are you guys talking about for down the road? What are you guys dreaming up? Or is it just too fresh or too soon? JS: We’re still in it for sure. I think we bled more for this project than we have arguably for any in the history of the band. So it was such a learning experience, such an incredible experience, such an experience that took radical intervention of God and folks moving in unique ways that I do feel strongly that this will be the first of hopefully many that we’ll have the opportunity to lean in on more stories like this and tell them in a real way. Someone asked me the other day, ‘Well why? You’re musicians. Why lean into movies?’ I think it’s because of this: we believe that the arts in general has a way of bypassing the head and go straight to the heart of humanity. To write out real issues, current issues, important issues, and bring light to them has this ability to be able to reach into the soul and really I hope create conversation, create change, and in this case shed light on something that is an important issue both internally and as global citizens and really asking ourselves what is our role in this. So, Steve, you’ve flattered me very much and I really do feel and conversations have already begun as to what that next film may be. ST: You’ve talked about that this project you’ve bled over more than the others. What did that look like and how did you see God come through? JS: It’s just different. Making music is not easy but when you’re dealing with audio only and 40 minutes for a record and three and a half minutes for a song as opposed to music and sound and visuals and an hour and, in this case, thirty-seven minutes of storytelling. There’s so many layers to it. It kind of blows doing music out of the water in some ways and so, just the intensity of it. And the finance, the amount of money that goes into doing a picture like this. There’s just so many of those layers so there were moments on set where we--we shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico--almost got shut down by the film commission for some reason or another. There were moments even

in promoting the film where we didn’t have enough money to sort of get the word out about it properly and these sort of preposterous stories came through at the eleventh hour. ST: What happened? What came through? So this really was a big strain. This is not like you just had a blank check and ‘oh, let’s throw some money at it.’ JS: No, no, far from it. I don’t know if you’re familiar with My Pillow. It’s a company you see a lot of infomercials for it, run by a fellow named Mike, and we were a million dollars shy on raising enough money to market the film. And one of our investors who had actually invested in the actual principal photography for the picture, he was watching this infomercial with the guy who does My Pillow, and he felt prompted late that night as he was watching this television commercial to research this guy and reach out to him so he did. Long story, very short, they ended up living five minutes from each other. They sit down with each other the next day and our financier kind of just presents the film and the opportunity and what it’s about and everything. We had exhausted every opportunity internally to try and find this million dollars to promote the film and the My Pillow guy, this was on a Thursday, by the next Monday had wired the money into the account. Just incredible feats and stories like that. ST: Yeah, it’s an amazing journey. Listeners, that’s Joel Smallbone of for KING & COUNTRY, incredible music that’s touching lives but also incredible movie and just the first, God-willing, of many, that he and his brothers and family are going to be putting out. And they do make a difference because seeing this in movie form it does move on your heart in a different way than someone just telling you about it and so, Joel again, I just want to say congratulations, great, great job. JS: Thank you, Steve. I appreciate your thoughtfulness, candor, and consideration in all of this. ST: Well, and my hype. I’m just excited. (laughter) I’m just excited. You did so great.

PETS

When All Seems Hopeless, Don’t Give Up that pet live many months or even several years! The reason for my success? Unlike conventional doctors, I focus on HEALING the pet rather than TREATING the disease. This is a foreign concept to many doctors. When I was in veterinary school, I was taught to diagnose and treat disease. Our goal was never to improve the health of the pet but simply to win the battle against the disease. When that is not possible, the only other alternative is euthanasia. However, using integrative therapies, I can now focus on improving my patients’ health rather than simply trying to win the war against a particular disease. Even when the disease ultimately proves fatal, I’m often able to improve the pet’s health and help it live much longer than the previous veterinarian thought possible. I see these “miracles of healing” every day! If you would like to read more about pet owners who refused to give up on their pets and instead discovered the miracle of natural health, you can read their stories in Unexpected Miracles-Hope and Holistic Healing for Pets Dr. Messonnier, a 1987 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, is the author of several books, including The Natural Health Bible for Dogs & Cats, The Allergy Solution for Dogs, and the 8 Weeks to a Healthy Dog and Unexpected Miracles: Hope and Holistic Healing for Pets.

Every day I see pets whose owners share with me the same tragic story. Their veterinarians have told them there is nothing they can do to help their pets. Many of these pets were seen by their veterinarians for checkups or what appeared to be minor problems. During the visit, a serious condition, often cancer, was diagnosed. As a result of the seriousness of the disease, the veterinarian offered no hope. Instead, the veterinarian told the owners that their pets had only a few weeks to live and recommended euthanasia when the pets’ condition declined. Unfortunately, many pet owners around the country are also given a similar tragic diagnosis and hopeless prognosis and follow their veterinarian’s advice, ending their pets’ lives a few weeks after what appears to be a hopeless situation is diagnosed. What would you do if you were in a similar situation? Would you follow your veterinarian’s advice and give up all hope of your pet recovering from its serious illness? Or would you do what my clients do and seek out another opinion and another system of healthcare? Integrative/holistic/natural/green therapies can offer “hope for the hopeless.” While I can’t always cure all of my patients, I can offer all of them hope and make them healthier. It is not uncommon for me to treat a pet who is given weeks to live by the previous veterinarian and have

A Healthy Soul - Overcoming Negative Emotional Messages BY STEPHEN CERVANTES

Humanity, according to the Bible, consists of three parts: body, spirit and soul, which are intrinsically woven together to compile the complete person. The body is the physical part; our five senses allow us to communicate and connect. The spirit within longs to commune with our maker. When we sing and pray and worship, it is our spirit reaching out to connect with God. The soul is that portion

containing the mind and the emotional system: thoughts, beliefs and perceptions. The emotional system begins developing soon after birth and continues throughout life. Good or bad experiences affect emotions and can cause negative attitudes and behaviors. Have you ever tried to understand the inner workings of your soul? Emotions and the reactions they cause are repetitive, predictable and knowable. We can identify negative emotional systems.

Once identified, we can work to change them to those that are more positive and healthy. The following are five common negative emotional messages I’ve found that weaken the spiritual walk and burden our souls. Growing means learning how to effectively rid our minds of deception and confusion. “Then you will know the truth, and the trut h will set you free.” John 8:32. 1. “Shame” whispers- “You don’t have any friends. No one wants you. You will never be accepted or included. You are not like other people. Everyone knows you’re weak! ” 2. “Failure” repeats- “You always fail. You can’t do it. Don’t start. Don’t try. You always fall short. Many believe you are a failure.” 3. “False Identity” murmurs- “You are a

disappointment. You are stupid, a loser, a mess. No one wants you. You are not enough and never will be!” 4. “Fit-Throwing-2 Year Old” screams - “I don’t want too! Why can’t I have what I want: I deserve it! Give it to me now!” 5. “Sexually Rebellion” whines- “I don’t need boundaries. I want to flirt, fantasize and act out. It won’t hurt anyone.” A solution becomes much easier if the problem is clearly identified. Pray for wisdom, pursue truth, receive grace and keep growing. You were made by God and for God. He is the great healer of your soul. StephenCervantes.com. Stephen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and expert in relationship love. He has 28 years of experience. He helps individuals find greater inner peace and also helps them become more successful in relationships. 210-490-9062 (Stone Oak area)

Spirit, soul, and body wellness: “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23 In the end, true wellness comes down to peace in the Biblical sense of the word – wholeness and connectedness (spirit, soul, and body). We were made to be connected to God, to family and friends, and to God’s creation. God created We were us to be free, to love and loved, to move, to made to be in be breath, to rest, to get relationships. sunshine, to get outside, and to eat the foods he created. Optimum health requires PEACE. A healthy Spirit is the foundation of true wellness – because, no matter how healthy they are, our bodies will all die someday. The Bible teaches that out spirits can be reborn by believing in Jesus and receiving adoption into God’s family. If we have a new spirit, then one day we will also receive a new and perfectly healthy body that will never die! If your spirit is healthy, it will be that much easier to have a healthy

soul and a healthy body, and you will be building health on a solid foundation. Strengthen your spirit by spending time communicating with the Father through Jesus and meditating on God’s Word, the Bible. The Apostle Paul said that physical exercise profits a person only a little compared to Spiritual exercise. After a healthy Spirit, your soul’s health is the next most important for overall wellness. Your soul consists of your mind, will, and emotions. Some of the greatest threats to your soul’s health are: fear, unforgiveness, hate, lust, pride, selfishness, idleness, and impure thoughts. In order to have a healthy soul it is crucial to know the truth and to act on it. Jesus said that “you shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Knowing the truth requires honesty and open soul searching. It requires paying attention to the response of your mind and your body in certain situations. Your body will tell you if you are angry, fearful, and stressed. If you pay attention to the signs, then you can figure out what is causing the negative reactions and ask God to heal you in those areas. Unforgiveness and fear are extremely detrimental to overall health.

The stress and decay caused by these attitudes are not readily measurable, but psychologists have recognized the harmful effects they wreak on the mind and body. Finally, we were made to be in relationships. Anything that prevents us from having healthy relationships with others will have negative effects on our well being. By contrast, positive relationships with others, especially Christ-centered fellowship, will greatly enhance our mental and spiritual health. At a training I attended once as a probation officer, the psychologist giving the presentation said that the most effective treatment for depression is a combination of sunshine, exercise, and positive relationships. This makes so much sense! Adam and Eve had all of these things in the Garden, and we still need them today!

Physical health is highly dependent on spiritual and mental health; however, by eating the foods God intended for us to eat and moving our bodies the way they were created to move, we can build a sound physical structure on a strong foundation. Once spiritual and mental health are addressed, physical health is relatively simple – it comes down to: Eating healthy foods (and avoiding unhealthy, industrial foods), exercising on a regular basis, and resting. The goal of this site is to go into more detail in each of these areas. When Selling a Home in San Antonio, Photos Matter BY DAN EASEN

A picture is worth a thousand words, right? Well, when it comes to real estate, a picture can actually be worth thousands of dollars. Often your photos are the first (and

We can’t stress it enough: Photos Matter! When selling your home, work with your Realtor to make sure all your photos are visually appealing before putting them online. Here are some basic home photography tips: 1. Turn on lights to brighten the room. 2. Take photos at dawn or twilight – when the light outside is similar to the light inside. This will avoid over exposure from the windows, which will make your home look dark and dingy. 3. Get a good angle to showcase as much space as possible. 4. Look at your photos and think of them in the way your prospective buyers will look at them – in a split second. If you

don’t think your buyers will think a photo looks good, don’t use it. 5. De-clutter before taking photos. This will make your home cleaner and more visually appealing. 88% of the 6. How Will The Election Impact Your Financial Future?

Being Thankful, a Tradition at Stone Oak Vision Source

BY DARRYL W LYONS

In the first presidential election debate, Donald Trump claimed that our economy was in a “big, fat, ugly bubble.” We can all infer that bubbles pop, and when they do, people lose jobs. If it’s a big, fat, ugly bubble, then you will lose your job. But what is a bubble? There are two bubbly markets to consider. The first is the stock market. Usually people associate an inflated stock market by the continuous green arrows they see on television or on their investments statements. However, an upward trend has nothing to do with bubbles or overprices. Remember, the stock market serves as a way to put money into the hands of businesses who have ideas, products, and services. The responsibility of those businesses is to create income (also known as earnings). If people pay too much for these businesses without an appropriate amount of income, then the stock market is considered to be in a bubble. Right now, people are paying slightly more than historical prices as measured by price-to-earnings ratios, but it is based on earnings rather than an upward trend. Keep an eye on earnings. If companies keep selling Grande lattes and Pokémon, we’ll be ok. The second market is the real estate market. I do get a bit nervous when there is so much speculation in the real estate market. However, there is no letup in sight. There are far too many people wanting a home than there are homes available. Inventory data from the National Association of Realtors show that homes have been gobbled up at a pace that has made it more difficult for buyers for 15 straight months. Even with a few data points, how do you brush past the political screaming about market crashes? How do you turn off the commercials for gold? How do you avoid the subconscious messages of pessimism? I don’t have a solution to avoid the negatives,

15

but I do have a solution to counteract them. Ask yourself this question: “Have you ever met a successful pessimist?” Now, of course you’re not a pessimist, you’re a realist. But, take note: the people who do considerably well with their money long term are optimists. They are optimistic in our country. They know that innovation has been the foundation of our economic growth. America has grown as a result of railroads, automobiles, televisions, computers, wireless devices, biotech, and nanotechnology. As long as we continue to innovate, our country will prosper. As a key point, America just so happens to lead the world in patent grants with over 300,000 per year. So despite its challenges, our country is inventing. Inventing is the precursor to innovation. Innovation begets a healthy economy, and a healthy economy births a healthy stock market and real estate market. Now mix optimism with faith. As a believer, it is important to be optimistic as long as the optimism is not solely on the backs of humans. Ultimately, that type of optimism will be a letdown and cause cynicism and frustration. Christians must have optimism in the creator of all things and His plan. Because His Word discusses money 2,350 times, He knows that cash is a central focus of our hearts. It is time we interconnect our world data points with God’s Word. We are not called to be lukewarm with our financial future. We cannot in one hand be afraid of the financial future because of the outcome of one election, yet proclaim we trust God in the other. We have to trust in Him everywhere - for our personal financial future, our economy, and humanity. The Value of Mentoring

Unity Among Brothers

BY BRIAN WALTMAN

When I was 8 years old, my dad died of cancer, leaving a gaping hole in my heart... and in my life experience. I didn’t have a father-figure to model manhood for me, so I faltered and floundered throughout adolescence. But God had a plan for me. When I was 20 years old, a man by the name of Charlie helped me begin a relationship with Christ and began mentoring me in my spiritual life. He taught me how to study the Bible, how to memorize scripture, how to have a quiet time, and how to pray conversationally with my Heavenly Father. In short, he taught me how to grow in my relationship with God.

Not only that, Charlie also helped me grow in character. He challenged me in my relationships with the opposite sex. He helped me grow relationally. He taught me the importance of Christian fellowship. But most of all, Charlie modeled the Christian life for me and gave me a living example of what it means to follow Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). So, how did Charlie help me grow in all these areas? First of all, he spent time with me. He was present in my life. We ate lunch

together. We lifted weights together. We went camping and canoeing together. We went to church events together. We served together. We studied the Bible together. We prayed together. And when we were separated by distance (when I went back to school), he called me every week to see how I was doing -- and to quiz me on my scripture memory verses! By mentoring me, Charlie became a father-figure in my life and filled many of the gaps that were left by the loss of my dad. And by God’s gracious plan, I have also had many other mentors in my life after Charlie, who had an equal impact on my growth and development. The man I am today has been largely influenced by the mentors that God has put in my life, and I am tremendously grateful! After I had been “walking with God” for a few years, I began to mentor others, as Charlie had done with me. And by God’s grace, I have been mentoring others ever since. And it is a BLESSING! The men I have invested in are dear to me. They are my “glory and joy”! (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20) Sadly, I think that my story is quite rare. Many Christians--dare I say most Christians--have never been mentored in their faith, nor have they had the opportunity to mentor someone else. And in the recovery realm, very few men have received personal help in their recovery from sexual struggles and strongholds. Be Broken Ministries launched a Recovery Mentoring Program, so that we can offer 1-on-1 assistance for men seeking to break free from lustful patterns and grow in sexual integrity. If you would like to be trained as a Recovery Mentor, or if you would like to get help from a mentor, please go to RecoveryMentoring.com.

within 32 days. More studies have also shown a correlation between photos and price. When homes had only one photo, they sold for 91.2% of the original/asking price. On the other hand, homes with 6 or more photos sold for at least 95% of the original/asking price. The best thing to do is hire a professional photographer to take your photos. You’ll be amazed at how reasonable their

prices are – especially for the value. If you want to increase your likelihood of success when selling your home, don’t leave this part to chance. Make sure you and/or your Realtor puts time into the photos that are going to create the first impression and make or lose you thousands of dollars. SPORTS

IMPACT PLAYERS by JIM FAULK, Area Director-FCA

I’m thinking the answer is all those with compassionate, humble, servant hearts. We all know them, from the most fanatical spectator to the often least-interested fan. We know their names, their fame, probably their jersey numbers along with some stats, and most importantly? Their commercials! I mean, who can top an H-E-B television spot that features Tim, Tony, and Manu – other than Mean Joe Greene’s 1979 ad, tossing his game jersey to the kid who give him a Coke? They are the Tim Duncan of basketball, Alex Rodriguez of baseball, Peyton Manning of football, Katie Ledecky and Michael Phelps of swimming, and of course Allyson Felix and Usain Bolt of world track and field fame. I’m aware that there’s a good chance that I passed over your favorites, like LeBron James, J.J. Watt, Aaron Rodgers, or the

hundreds of other superstars spanning the world of sports. The point is that we all get pretty caught up in that athlete who always seems to be the playmaker at the exact time the play had to be made. This extra-special group of athletes that pull their teammates through are most often referred to as “impact players”. And, just like those superstar, well-trained, over-achieving athletes, the believers’ Coach, the Almighty and Everlasting God, has been preparing and enabling His high-impact players since the dawn of time. You know their names, you know their fame, the Hall of Faith guys like Moses, Sampson, and a kid with a slingshot named David. Those were the mighty men of God, all “heart-picked” to be part of the greatest championship team EVER. As I was scribbling, scratching out, tearing up, and rewriting this article, it occurred to me that we get all caught up in the high profile folks both athletically and Biblically, and tend to forget so quickly God’s words to Samuel: But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord

looks at the heart.” (I Samuel 16:7, NASB) No doubt, even we spiritual types love our spiritual giants, but God’s choice is the one willing to be the least, willing to lose it all, to take up his cross and follow Him, no matter what! Who, then, makes those bigtime plays for the Kingdom? I’m thinking the answer is all those with compassionate, humble, servant hearts. You know them: teachers, coaches, friends, business associates, family, even many of your church’s staff – their fame is just everyday folks being faithful. I want to line up with THOSE Impact Players! They’re playing for the Championship that never ends. How about you? ? Check out our Facebook, Twitter, Alamo FCA’s Website, and Instagram accounts.

ST: What do you find works for you? Maybe it doesn’t work for everybody in the band but it works for you. DS: So what do I do to make it work? Honestly, the humble road is the best road for me. It’s just a good tip for everyone, to be honest with you. Because defensiveness doesn’t get you very far. Ever. Let’s just say there’s a conflict and to fight back and to be defensive a lot of times just makes things worse and you kind of have to read through because a lot of times the issue isn’t the issue, if you know what I mean. ST: I’m really glad and appreciate you opening up and you know, you’re not just rock stars, you’re people that make mistakes, you’re living your faith out just like we are, only you wind up on a stage and you wind up with 4,000,000 YouTube hits, it’s a little different but really when it comes down to it God has given you these gifts and you’re using them to make an impact DS: Thank you for listening and thank you for supporting us and I don’t often do an interview that’s so in-depth about family but it was a real pleasure to speak with you. ST: Drew, thanks again for your time, and we’re going to see you soon here in San Antonio.
