The metro lines in São Paulo are really well connected, but they only run from 4:40am until 12:00am during working days, and from 04:40am until 01:00am during weekends. In any case, avoid getting the last metros of the day, if you have enough money to get a taxi, do so. Liberdade Neighborhood - Brazil has the largest number of Japanese people living outside of Japan than any other country in the world, and many of these “Brazilian-Japanese” live in São Paulo. It is a fun place to explore and see how the Japanese culture has influenced Brazilian life here and, of course, try some great food. On Sundays, an enormous market takes place in the public square of Liberdade, and thousands of people from around the city attend. Paulista Avenue - The most important avenue of São Paulo, Avenida Paulista is also the financial centre of the country. You can find big companies, famous restaurants, vibrant night life and many stores. You can visit the MASP as well, one of the best art museum in city. On tuesdays mornings and Thursdays afternoons, tickets are free. The museum is in front of Trianon-MASP Subway Station. http://www.saopaulofreewalkingtour.com/ Ibirabuera Park - It is the biggest urban park in São Paulo. It has a large area for leisure, jogging and walking, so do as a vivid cultural scene with museums and a music hall. The park was drawn up by five architects, among them Oscar Niemeyer. Enjoy its race tracks, playgrounds and sports courts. Pinacoteca – It is an art gallery. The museum has a beautiful café downstairs and is connected to Parque da Luz, a public park that includes outdoor sculptures and a European-style garden area. Street Art - São Paulo is considered one of the best cities in the world for the development of creativity in street art. The city’s streets are filled with wonderful examples of street art mainly in central and Vila Madalena regions. Municipal Market - The huge municipal market in downtown São Paulo should not be missed, because it is housed inside a lovely neo-classical building with stained glass windows, so do as the array of food sold there. In the area around the market, don’t bring valuables with you, and keep a close eye on your belongings in order to stay safe. Augusta Street - Sao Paulo nightlife options are available all over the city. Some neighborhoods are known for a certain style of Sao Paulo nightlife. Vila Madalena, for example, is known as a bohemian and trendy night spot. At Vila Olimpia and Itaim Bibi, you will find up the most fancy clubs of the city. Sunset and Beaches - You can enjoy the sunset at Arpoador beach and enjoy walking or bicycle by way of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. But also enjoy the Barra da Tijuca and Recreio beaches. Corcovado Hill – The Redeemer Christ is located in the Corcovado hill. It has a wide range of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and themed pubs that cater to all tastes throughout its thirteen streets. Being known as the "cradle" of bohemian Rio, It is also famous for architecture, starting with the Carioca Aqueduct, the main reference and postcard. http://www.freewalkertours.com/ Santa Tereza - Lapa building was built to serve as the aqueduct in Brazil Colonial times, and since 1896, serves as a way for the tram linking the city center to the Santa Teresa neighborhood, home of the colourful and eye-catching Selaron stairway. Escadaria Selarón is a set of world-famous steps in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They are the work of Chilean-born artist Jorge Selarón who claimed it as "my tribute to the Brazilian people".
