Dragon, Imaginary Worlds: Once Upon a Time, Atlanta Botanical Garden
Imaginary Worlds: Once Upon a Time is an extraordinary display of eight sculptures created from foliage and flowers by Mosaïcultures® Internationales de Montréal and is unlike any exhibition ever presented in Texas The Garden anticipates that this spectacular menagerie of monumental storybook characters will amaze and delight visitors of all ages from across the South Texas community and the nation. Opening to the public May 6, 2023, the Garden has slated over 100 educational programs serving approximately 15,000+ children during the exhibition run.

For eight weeks each spring, the Garden celebrates Texas wildflowers with beautiful and fragrant displays, activities, and a day of family-friendly fun at the featured event Celebrate Wildflowers!
Springtime in Texas is wildflower season. In 2023, Lightscape will shine for its third year, through the 38 acres of the Garden to brighten the holiday season. Guests are enchanted by magical light displays set along a beautifully illuminated, one-mile path. These illuminations proudly include installations unique to Texas created by local and international artists. The trail features new installations each year plus returning favorites like Field of Blue Bonnets and the Cathedral of Light, an arched tunnel sparkling with 100,000 lights.

For the entire month of February, the Garden celebrates the planet’s largest group of blooming flowers with Orchid Celebration, presented in partnership with the Alamo Orchid Society From catts to zygos, an extensive array of blossoming orchids are on display throughout the month, culminating in Celebrate Orchids, a day of familyfriendly, orchid- themed activities.

The Terrarium Ecosystem Program welcomes up to 90 students per week, mainly from East Central, Harlandale, Somerset, South San Antonio, Southside, Southwest independent school districts, and other Title I schools.
Students in this TEKS-based program experience STEM- focused, hands-on learning by creating a terrarium ecosystem to take home. They understand the function of greenhouses through building their own terrarium, then they tour the conservatory to see the concepts in action. The program teaches the water cycle, photosynthesis, and plant respiration. Sponsorship begins one year from contribution date.
