Last month we celebrated the launch of our new release Bluegrass Collection with our biggest Bluegrass Bash yet! Thank you to all of the Club Equus members who joined us for our sell out Black Tie evening event. Twine Catering served delicious food, while international award winning singer/song writer Anna Weatherup and band, filled the dancefloor.

WINE OF THE YEAR

Next year’s Bluegrass Bash date has been announced as the 2nd May, 2020! Be sure to secure your seats to avoid disappointment. Vintage is all over for another year, so now its time to tend to the vineyard. The team is busy pruning the vines nurturing them along with tender loving care as always. In the winery, we are preparing our white wines for bottling including our Semillon, Verdelho and Rosé. Also going down the bottling line is a new Winemaker’s Craft, “Wild White”. You may have noticed an invitation to join the Club Equus community on Facebook. This closed group is for you, our members, to chat about all things wine together. We will keep you posted on winery news and upcoming releases, club packs, photo albums, events and just general stuff! Included in the winter pack is our annual release of our exclusive wine for our Platinum Equus members (Platinum status is achieved after 2 years membership with Club Equus). This new premium release is a 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mudgee Region. Mudgee has a solid reputation for robust and deeply coloured red wines, the higher altitude allows slower ripening and has delivered a quality wine with colour intensity and depth of flavour for your enjoyment. This July, Frank our illustrious leader and creative landscaper at heart (BBQ area and Fire Pit coming soon - stay tuned or better yet come see for yourself at our upcoming picnic in October) is celebrating his 60th Birthday! Frank’s all time favourite over the many years of savouring Saddler’s Creek wines, is the Bluegrass Cabernet Sauvignon. So in the spirit of Saddler’s philosophy to enjoy good food with good wine and friends, we have included in your pack a gift bottle, from us to you, so we can all share in a “chin-chin” with him for his birthday. Sip Sip hooray Happy Birthday Franco. Cheers to drinking great wine together,

Brett Woodward
