Harcourts Property Management COVID19 checklist for Business Owners/Department Managers ☐
Contact your HR consultant and ensure that you have a COVID19 policy in place that is signed off by all employees.

Ensure it covers items such infection control measures, exposure to the virus, travel, isolation, attendance at work, working from home and any potential business closure.
☐
Provide team with hygiene guides and ensure these are placed in the office (attached).
☐
Have the team sign off on any updated policies.
☐
Understand your obligations during this time in relation to employee absence and options available to them – talk to your HR consultant if you are unsure.
☐
Be aware of what actions you need to take if an employee is diagnosed with the virus.
☐
If an employee is returning from overseas ensure that they confirm with you that they have followed self-isolation protocols and what impact this will have on their leave.
☐
Employees may refuse to work in the office due to fear of catching the virus, understand what their obligations are as well as yours.
☐
Employees may be unable to attend if there are school closures, consider working from home options.
☐
Send out regular communication to your team on what you are doing to keep them healthy and safe. E.G – ask cleaners to attend daily basis, have them do a through clean of all surfaces, provide Glen20 spray and encourage team to clean desks and phones daily, ensure they understand hygiene requirements like washing hands.
☐
Put in place as a team, a plan to minimise contact with the public.
☐
Make sure you have adequate sanitiser’s, soap, tissues and wipes in the office
☐
Ensure that the team understands how their leave will be impacted should they need to take time off.
☐
Ask teams to keep you up to date on any overseas holidays they may have booked, will they continue to travel and how will facilitate their return.
☐
Meet with your team daily to check in on how they are feeling
☐
If you are working remotely, check in every morning to discuss who is working on what, check in middle and end of the day. Its important to stay in touch

Provide portable carriers with adequate sanitiser’s, soap, tissues and wipes. Request anyone attending to use the provided sanitisers before entering the property. To avoid touching any fixtures, fittings and furniture within the home and to instead ask the property manager to demonstrate the functionality of any devices if required. What communication needs to be sent out to clients and how quickly you can get business ready to work remotely, will you divert the office line to mobile phone and how will that be managed.
