ABOUT US AN INDEPENDENT LUXURY JEWELRY STUDIO Petit Anjou was founded by Jessica Liu on the idea of elevating everyday jewelry and bringing the focus back to a luxury experience. A former attorney who became a self-taught metalsmith during the pandemic, Jessica always struggled with sensitive skin and allergies to jewelry, and was also dismayed at how most fashion jewelry was made of low-quality gold-plate and would fail to keep its finish for long. She launched her brand to fill a need in the marketplace for well-crafted, distinctive jewelry that wouldn’t irritate the skin and that was made to last. Petit Anjou’s unconventional designs delight in the unexpected and embrace organic fluidity and minimalistic simplicity. Inspired by Jessica’s preference for texture and visual movement in art, pieces in the brand’s signature La Mer line reflect an abstract interpretation of everyday objects around us. Every piece is individually handcrafted using recycled sterling silver, 14k or 18k gold, and freshwater pearls at Petit Anjou’s studio in Newport Coast, California. Furthermore, ten percent of proceeds from each and every sale goes to Lovebugs Rescue, a non-profit foster-based animal rescue organization. Petit Anjou is bringing luxury back. Highest expectations are encouraged.

JESSICA LIU PETIT ANJOU FOUNDER Prior to the formation of Petit Anjou, Jessica was an attorney. A fan of fashion but limited to more conservative business attire, she enjoyed adding fun touches to her work wardrobe using jewelry. She was allergic to most fashion jewelry, however, and relying on fine jewelry grew cost-prohibitive. In addition, she became frustrated with the lack of design diversity. Stores all carried the latest on-trend jewelry pieces, but this also meant everything looked the same. In 2019, Jessica began to pick up metalsmithing as a hobby. She experimented with a couple jewelry-making classes, but as a mom to young kids without childcare, she ultimately found it impossible to attend. When the pandemic hit in 2020, in a fortuitous turn of events, all the jewelry courses she was previously unable to attend ended up taking to online instruction. Finally able to feed her passion from home, Jessica spent days and nights that year soaking up online classes, studying metalsmithing books, sketching designs, and working on her new craft. With her self-taught metalsmithing skills in hand, Jessica eventually decided to make a decisive pivot in her career to pursue jewelry-making full-time. In 2021, she started Petit Anjou with the goal of creating luxurious jewelry that was comfortable against even the most sensitive skin, while embracing unique looks that are classically timeless, yet still distinctive and fun to wear.
