Advances in health technology and data science offer emergency physicians the ability to individualize patient care and improve the health of local communities. However, most emergency providers are less familiar with precision medicine and how this new paradigm will transform the practice of emergency medicine. Research is needed to understand how to best implement precision emergency medicine in an effective and equitable manner.
