COST ACTION FA 1101 Omics Technologies for Crop Improvement, Traceability, Determination of Authenticity, Adulteration and Origin in Saffron. “Saffronomics Training School

Spectroscopic and chemometric approaches to saffron analysis National Council of Research, Institute for Macromolecular Studies v. Bassini 15 Milan (ITALY) 27-29 May 2014 The main aim of this training school will be to present the advanced spectroscopic techniques applied to the quality characterization of saffron, in combination with chemometric. The basic principles and latest tools of NMR and other spectroscopic FT techniques will be also presented. A practical NMR section will be performed at Bruker laboratories, covering the NMR sample preparation, data acquisition, processing and chemometric evaluation of data. In addition, advanced multivariate statistical protocols applied to spectroscopic techniques will be presented in theoretical and practical sections. Up to 9 trainees will be reimbursed by COST office, and a maximum number of 15 participants is expected. To register please contact: roberto.consonni@ismac.cnr.it.
