The mission of the Focus Awards is twofold: to raise the necessary capital to provide quality programming, networking and mentorship opportunities for women in the advertising, film and television industries and to honor the accomplishments of the noted "superwomen" who continually put Chicago on the map. SAG-AFTRA members, staff and guests volunteer at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Feb. 10. The GCFD is a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people and striving to end hunger in our community. The GCFD distributes donated and purchased food through a network of 650 pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to 678,000 adults and children in Cook County every year.
