Music Being an international music venue, there are lots of extra special experiences we can offer to add the wow factor to your event. We have a range of sessions designed to focus on team building, leadership, presentation skills, confidence, self-esteem or just having fun. Paper and straw bridges are over – teambuild the Sage Gateshead way; Boomwhacker workshops are the latest craze in teambuilding. Led by a tutor, all participants will be provided with a tuned percussion tube and together will create music to play a recognisable tune. Arch Rivals is a masterclass in graffiti art which sees teams compete to create a unique graffiti text piece in our designated arches at the rear of the building. Music workshops - we can teach you amazing skills: Steel pans, Drumming and percussion, Junk percussion, Harmony singing, Tin whistles, Ukulele and even Gumboot dancing.

getting around There are fast and frequent rail connections (less than three hours to London and over 40 trains per day) and a huge range of national & international flights from Newcastle Airport. The Metro (light rail system) has been rated as one of the country’s most efficient modes of transport and is an ideal way to get around, with regular trains to and from the airport, the coast and the nearby city of Sunderland as well as major local landmarks and attractions.
