Strømkilde

Ventilasjon

• Bruk kun strømforsyningen som fulgte med produktet. Hvis du bruker en uautorisert strømforsyning vil det ugyldiggjøre garantien og det kan ugjenkallelig skade produktet. • Koble radioen fra strømnettet under tordenvær.

Ikke blokker eller tildekk spor, hull eller åpninger på produktet ved å plassere radioen på myke møbler som tepper eller senger, da disse åpningene er gitt for funksjonalitet og/eller ventilasjon for å sikre trygg bruk av produktet.

• Sjekk alltid at du har slått radioen helt av, før du endrer eller kobler fra strømforsyningen.

Plassering av POP@worksite

• Der hvor strømuttaket eller apparatets koblingsledning brukes som frakoblingsenhet, må frakoblingsenheten hele tiden være klar til bruk.

Det er viktig at du tenker nøye gjennom på forhånd hvor radioen vil bli plassert, og sørg for at det er:

• Hvis radioen ikke skal brukes over en lengre periode, må du kontrollere at strømmen er koblet fra, og at det oppladbare batteriet er koblet fra i batterirommet.

• på en flat og stabil overflate.

• Bruk kun det medfølgende oppladbare batteriet.

• maksimum 1,4 meter fra en stikkontakt (hvis du skal bruke strømnettet). Vennligst forsikre deg om at ledningen ikke er en snublefare.

• Kast aldri batterier i ild eller forsøke og åpne det ytre dekselet/beskyttelsen.

• minst 1 meter unna andre elektriske apparater for å unngå forstyrrelser.

• Batterier er farlige ved svelging, hold de langt unna små barn.

• der den vil være innenfor rekkevidden til den tilkoblede eller “sammenkoblede” Bluetooth-enheten (f.eks. iPod/iPhone/iPad /Androidtelefon/annen telefon/ datamaskin), som er ca. 10 meter eller mindre (33 fot eller mindre) i synsfeltet.

• Generelt sett bør batteriladere og strømforsyninger i minst mulig grad være tilkoblet strømnettet om natten eller når du ikke er hjemme. Alle POP-produkter er CEgodkjente og sertifiserte. FORSIKTIG: Fare for eksplosjon hvis det oppladbare batteriet ikke settes inn riktig. Dette er ikke en del brukeren kan reparere selv.

• Der det er nok høyde for å få strukket radioantennen helt ut. • Aldri plasser radioen direkte på en antikk eller polert overflate.

Forsiktig

Fuktighet og vann Dette produktet er designet og testet for å møte IPX54-standard. Det er trygt å bruke den i lett regnvær, der det er sannsynlig at den får litt regnsprut. Den har ikke blitt designet for å være fullt nedsenket i vann da dette vil føre til permanent skade på produktets kretser. Ikke la radioen stå i lave temperaturer, da fuktighet kan dannes inne i produktet, noe som kan skade kretskortet.

Varmekilder og flammer Ikke la radioen stå i høye temperaturer, da elektroniske enheter og plastdeler kan deformeres i varmen.

For å unngå mulige hørselsskader, må du ikke lytte til denne radioen med høyt volumnivå over lengre perioder. Volumet skal alltid være innenfor rimelighetens grenser.

Bli kjent med din POP@worksite Koble til det oppladbare batteriet (valgfritt) 1. Før du kobler til det oppladbare batteriet, forsikre deg om at hovedstrømmen til radioen har blitt slått av og at adapteren er tatt ut av stikkontakten. Fjerne strømkabelen fra strømkontakten (under gummidekselet) bak på radioen.

Bli kjent med din POP@worksite Merk: Det oppladbare batteriet vil kun lade når radioen står i Ventemodus. Det vil ta ca. 12 timer å lade batteriet første gang. Du kan bruke radioen når den er tilkoblet hovedstrømmen, men når radioen er på, vil ikke det oppladbare batteriet lade.

2. Bak på radioen, skru den store gule skruen på baksiden av batterirommet mot klokken for å løsne og åpne batteridekselet. Du vil nå kunne se det oppladbare batteriet i batterirommet.

Førstegangsoppsett

3. Du vil også se batteritilkoblingskabler, en med en plugg og en med en stikkontakt. Koble kabelpluggen til stikkontakten.

2. Trykk på knappen oppå radioen. Radioen din vil slå seg på og begynne et automatisk søk etter DAB+-stasjoner. En fremdriftslinje vil vise søkets fremdrift og antallet stasjoner funnet under søket vil også vises.

1. Vennligst flytt radioantennen på baksiden av radioen til vertikal stilling. Dette vil sikre at maksimal signalstyrke er tilgjengelig når radioen begynner å skanne etter stasjoner.

3. Når skanningen er fullført vil radioen velge den første tilgjengelige stasjonen å begynne og spille. Stasjonene er oppført i numerisk og deretter alfabetisk rekkefølge som standard. Merk: Radiostasjonslisten er lagret i minnet, slik at neste gang du slår på radioen, vil stasjonssøket ikke finne sted. Det er mulig å søke manuelt etter stasjoner. 4. Trykk på eller stasjonslisten.

Lukk dekselet til batterirommet, og pass på at du ikke klemmer batterikabelen mellom dekselet og radioen. Vri den store gule skruen med klokken for å lukke batteridekselet godt mot gummipakningen.

Justering av volumet Trykk på ‘+’ på VOLUM-knappen for å øke volumet. Trykk og hold ‘+’ på VOLUM-knappen for å gradvis øke volumet.

Strømtilkobling

Trykk på ‘-’ på VOLUM-knappen for å redusere volumet.

1. Koble strømledningen inn i strømkontakten, under gummidekselet på baksiden av radioen,

Trykk og hold ‘-’ på VOLUM-knappen for å gradvis redusere volumet. Skjermen vil bekrefte voluminnstillingen din.

2. Koble strømadapteren inn i stikkontakten i veggen og slå på. Enhetens skjerm lyser, og ‘Velkommen til digital radio’ vises, etterfulgt av ”Lader” (hvis batteriet er tilkoblet). Radioen vil nå være i Ventemodus.

Equaliser (EQ) Du kan endre lyden på radioen ved å bruke EQ-innstillingen. Det er 6 tilgjengelige innstillinger; Rock, Tale, Normal, Klassisk, Jazz og Pop, samt ”Min mikser”, hvor du kan endre og lagre bass og diskant på radioen til ditt personlige ønske.

Du kan nå bruke eller for å bla og for å velge, slik du gjorde da du stilte klokkeslett og dato, for å endre innstillingene for: 12/24 timers format på klokken på skjermen. Datoformat, DD-MM-ÅÅÅÅ eller MM-DDÅÅÅÅ og til å automatisk oppdatere klokkeslettet etter DAB-signalet, FM-signal, DABeller FM-signal eller Ingen oppdatering.

1. Trykk på EQ-knappen på toppen av radioen og bruk eller for å bla deg gjennom de tilgjengelige alternativene. Den nåværende innstillingen vil ha en ”*” øverst til høyre på skjermen.

7. Trykk gjentatte ganger på MENU-knappen til du returnerer til stasjonsskjermen.

Klokkeslett og dato

Koble til en Bluetooth-enhet

Første gang du lytter til DAB-radioen din, vil klokkeslett og dato bli automatisk synkronisert til 24-timersmodus; som er i tråd med sommertid, så det er ikke nødvendig å stille inn dato og klokkeslett manuelt.

Sjekk at radioen din er i Bluetooth-modus. Hvis du ikke allerede er i Bluetooth-modus, trykk på MODE-knappen til du er i Bluetooth-modus (sjekk skjermen). ’Søker...’ vises på skjermen.

Hvis du ønsker å angi klokkeslett og dato manuelt, slår du på radioen og følger trinnene nedenfor:

I Bluetooth-modus:

1. Trykk og hold MENU-knappen inne til <Full scanning> vises på skjermen.

2. Slå på Bluetooth-tilkoblingen på enheten du vil koble til POP@worksite (f.eks. iPhone/ iPad/Android/annen telefon/Nettbrett/datamaskin) og forsikre deg om at den er ’tilgjengelig’.

Merk: Noen produkter vil automatisk søke etter nye enheter. Derfor vil ’Legg til ny enhet’ ikke være tilgjengelig. 4. Når den er funnet, vil radioen din vises som ’POP@worksite’. 6. Når du har sammenkoblet enheten din med radioen, vil de kobles sammen hver gang de er innenfor rekkevidde i synsfeltet (ca. 10 meter/33 fot eller mindre).

7. Enheten din vil være sammenkoblet med radioen helt til du eventuelt kobler fra eller opphever sammenkoblingen. Merk: Du kan trykke og holde inne og søke etter nye enheter.

Før du bruker radioen, juster radioantennen på baksiden av radioen til vertikal stilling, dette vil sørge for at maksimum signalstyrke er tilgjengelig.

DAB radiomodus Kontroller at radioen er i DAB-modus. Hvis du ikke allerede er i DAB-modus, trykk på MODE-knappen til du er i DAB-modus (sjekk skjermen).

Lading med USB Øverst på radioen, under USB-gummilokket, vil du finne en USB-port som kan bli brukt til å lade dine USB-enheter, f.eks. smarttelefoner. Med radioen din koblet til hovedstrømmen og i ventemodus, bruk en USB-kabel (ikke inkl.) for å koble til enheten du ønsker å lade. Sjekk enhetens skjerm. Merk: Radioen din må være koblet til hovedstrømmen og i Ventemodus for å kunne lade enheter via USB-ladeporten.

Første gang du bruker radioen eller hvis stasjonslisten er tom, vil radioen automatisk begynne og søke etter DAB-stasjoner. En fremdriftslinje viser fremdriften for søket og antall stasjoner funnet. Hvis du lyttet til en DAB-stasjon da du slo av radioen, vil denne stasjonen velges automatisk når du slår på radioen igjen.

AUX-inngang

2. Når stasjonen du ønsker å lytte til vises på skjermen, trykk på for å velge den. Det vil være en kort pause/forsinkelse mens radioen bytter til den valgte kanalen.

Øverst på radioen, under AUX-gummilokket, vil du finne en AUX-inngang, som kan brukes for rask og enkel tilkobling til eksterne lydkilder.

Søke etter DAB-stasjoner

Kontroller at radioen din er i AUX in-modus. Hvis du ikke er i AUX in-modus, trykk på MODE-knappen til du er i AUX in-modus (sjekk skjermen). I AUX in-modus. 1. Koble den ene enden av 3.5mm lydkabelen til hodetelefonutgangen (eller AUXutgangen) til den sekundære enheten din, koble den andre enden til AUX-inngangen øverst på radioen. 2. Trykk på Avspill-knappen på den eksterne enheten for å starte avspillingen gjennom radioens høyttalere. For å få et optimalt volumnivå, juster volumnivået på både den sekundære enheten og på radioen din.

Med en DAB-radio blir stadig flere stasjoner og tjenester tilgjengelige, så det er en god idé å gjennomføre en manuell skanning nå og da for å være sikker på at du har den mest oppdaterte stasjonslisten lagret i minnet på radioen. Hvis du har flyttet radioen til et annet sted, for eksempel hvis du drar på ferie, så er det også en god idé å gjennomføre en manuell skanning. I DAB-modus: 1. Trykk og hold MENU-knappen til <Full scanning> vises på skjermen. Trykk på for å starte et søk etter stasjoner. Skjermen vil endres til ’Scanner...’. En fremdriftslinje viser fremdriften for søket og antall stasjoner funnet.

Merk: Det er anbefalt at du plugger ut 3.5mm lydkabelen fra AUX-kontakten etter du er ferdig med å lytte til den eksterne enheten.

Renske DAB-stasjoner

3. Trykk på Radioen vil bytte til denne stasjonen med det samme og starte avspillingen.

Du kan fjerne de DAB-stasjonene i stasjonslisten som ikke kan mottas i ditt område. Disse er oppført med forstavelsen ’?’ I DAB-modus:

Merk: Hvis ingen DAB-stasjon har vært lagret under forvalgsknappen, vil ’Forvalg Tom’ vises og radioen vil gå tilbake til den tidligere valgte radiostasjonen.

Lagre en forvalgt DAB-favorittstasjon Radioen kan lagre opptil 10 DAB-stasjoner i sitt forhåndsinnstilte minne for umiddelbar tilgang til dine favorittstasjoner. 1. Bytt til den radiostasjonen du ønsker å forhåndsinnstille. 2. Trykk og hold PRESET-knappen inne i ca. 2 sekunder til Lagre Forvalg <1:(Tom)> vises på skjermen. 3. Bruk eller for å flytte til den plasseringen du ønsker å lagre den forvalgte stasjonen på (1-10). 4. Trykk på (1-10).

og skjermen vil bekrefte ’Forvalg X lagret’, der ’X’ er nummeret på forvalget

Merk: Hvis det allerede finnes en DAB-stasjon lagret under et forvalg, vil den bli overskrevet når du lagrer den nye DAB-stasjonen.

DAB skjerminformasjon Når du lytter til en DAB-stasjon kan du endre informasjonen som vises på skjermen. Det finnes ulike typer informasjon som sendes av kringkasteren. • Dynamic Label Segment (DLS) - Dette er rullerende tekstinformasjon fra kringkasteren. Informasjonen kan være artistnavn, sangtittel, DJ-navn, kontaktinformasjon til radiostasjonen etc. • Signalstyrke - En tom vil vises på den andre linjen på skjermen for å indikere minimum signalstyrke for akseptabel lytting. Raden av faste rektangler indikerer den faktiske signalstyrken du mottar. Jo sterkere signal, jo lenger til høyre vil rekken av solide rektangler være. • Programtype (PTY) – for eksempel ’Rock’, ’Pop’, ’Tale’ eller ’Nyheter’ • Kanal og frekvens – f.eks.12B 225.648 MHz • Multiplex-Navn - viser kringkastingsområdet og en samling av radiostasjoner på denne frekvensen. F.eks. BBC National DAB, Digital 1 Network. • Signalfeil - Dette vises som et tall mellom 0-99. Det vil ikke være tilfredsstillende å høre på en radiostasjon med en signalfeilrate på 30 eller mer. Prøv å justere antennen eller flytte radioen for å forbedre mottaket. • Signalinformasjon - Datahastigheten på signalet som blir sendt. • Hovedstrøm- eller Batteristatus-informasjon. F.eks. Batteri 100.

Bytt til en forvalgt DAB-stasjon

• Klokkeslett og dato - levert av kringkasteren.

I DAB-modus: 1. Trykk på PRESET-knappen. Hent Forvalg <1:> vises på skjermen sammen med navnet eller frekvensen til stasjonen som er lagret der, eller (Tom) hvis ingen stasjon er lagret her. 2. Bruk eller å lytte til (1-10).

Dynamic range control (DRC)

Radioantenne

I DAB-modus:

Før du bruker radioen, vennligst flytt radioantennen på baksiden av radioen til vertikal stilling. Dette vil sikre at maksimal signalstyrke er tilgjengelig.

Det dynamiske området for hvert radioprogram er satt av kringkasteren for hver enkel radiostasjon og kan være forskjellig for hvert program, for eksempel pop, klassisk musikk eller tale. DRC-signalet sendes parallelt med lydsignalet for hvert program, og med radioen kan du bruke dette styresignalet til å utvide eller komprimere dynamikken (forskjellen mellom de høyeste og de mest stillegående lydene) av det reproduserte lydsignalet. Å endre det dynamiske området kan påvirke ’lydstyrken’ og/eller ’kvaliteten på lyden’ på programmet du hører på, slik at det vil være mer egnet til dine lytteforhold og dine egne personlige lyttekrav. For eksempel i støyende omgivelser, der rolige lyder kan bli overbelastet, kan du sette komprimeringen til maksimal. Dette vil gi en ’økning’ til de rolige lydene, mens du holder de sterkeste lydene på sitt opprinnelige nivå. Det finnes 3 nivåer for kompresjon: • DRC Av - ingen kompresjon. Dette er standardinnstillingen. • DRC Lav - medium kompresjon. • DRC Høy - maksimal kompresjon. 1. Trykk og hold MENU-knappen inne til <Full scanning> vises. 2. Bruk

Hvis du ikke allerede er i FM-modus, trykker du på MODE-knappen for å gå inn i FMmodus (se skjerm). Hvis du lyttet til en FM-stasjon da du slo av radioen vil denne stasjonen velges automatisk når du slår på radioen igjen.

Bytte til en FM-stasjon Trykk og hold for å skanne oppover på frekvensbåndet. Trykk på oppover på frekvensbåndet i 0.05MHz-trinn.

Ventilation

• Only use the power supply that came with the product. Using an unauthorised power supply will invalidate your guarantee and may irrecoverably damage the product. • Disconnect your radio from the mains power supply during thunderstorms.

Do not block or cover slots, holes or openings on the product by placing on soft furnishings such as carpets, rugs or beds as these are provided for functionality and/or ventilation to ensure safe operation of the product.

• Always check that you have completely switched off your radio, before you change or disconnect the power supply.

Positioning the POPworksite radio

• Where the mains power plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

It is important that you consider carefully in advance where your radio will be situated and make sure that it is:

• If the radio will not be used for a long period of time, make sure that the mains power is unplugged and the rechargeable battery is disconnected within the battery compartment.

• on a flat and stable surface.

• Only use the rechargeable battery supplied.

• at least 1 metre away from other electrical appliances to avoid interference.

• Never throw batteries in a fire or attempt to open the outer casing.

• where it will be in range of the connected or ‘paired’ bluetooth device (e.g. iPod/ iPhone/iPad/Android/other phone/computer, which is about 10 metres or less (33 feet or less) in line of sight.

• Batteries are harmful if swallowed, so keep away from young children. • In general, battery chargers and power supplies should not be plugged in at night or when you are not home. All POP products are CE approved and certified. CAUTION: Danger of explosion if the rechargeable battery is incorrectly replaced. This is not a user serviceable part.

Getting to know your POPworksite Note: The rechargeable battery will only charge when the product is in Standby mode. You can still use the radio on mains power, but when the radio is on, it will not charge the battery.

1. Before connecting the rechargeable battery, please ensure that the mains power to the radio has been switched off and unplugged from the mains power supply. Remove the power lead from the power socket (underneath the rubber cover) on the back of the radio.

Initial set-up

2. On the back of the radio, turn the large yellow screw on the back of the battery compartment anti-clockwise to release and open the battery cover. You will be able to see the rechargeable battery in the battery compartment.

Equaliser (EQ) You can change the sound of your radio by using the EQ setting. There are 6 settings available, Rock, Speech, Normal, Classic, Jazz and Pop, as well as ‘My EQ’, where you can change and save the Bass and Treble for the radio to your own personal choice.

DAB radio mode USB charging On the top of your radio, under the USB rubber cover, you will find a USB socket which can be used to charge devices that need a USB 5V 1A supply, such as mobile phones. With your radio connected to mains power and in standby mode, use a USB cable (not supplied) to connect the device that you wish to charge. Check the device display. Note: Your radio must be connected to mains power and in Standby mode to be able to charge devices via the USB charging socket.

Check that your radio is in DAB mode. If you are not already in DAB mode, press and release the MODE button until you are in DAB mode (check the display). The first time you use the radio or if the station list is empty, your radio will automatically begin to scan for DAB radio stations. A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed. If you were listening to a DAB station when you switched the radio off, then this station will automatically be selected when you switch the radio back on.

Changing DAB stations Auxiliary input

Check that your radio is in Auxiliary Input mode. If you are not already in Auxiliary Input mode, press and release the MODE button until you are in Auxiliary input mode (check the display) . In Auxiliary Input Mode: 1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio connection cable to the headphone (or auxiliary out) socket of your secondary device, connect the other end to the AUX socket on the top of your radio. 2. Press the Play button on your external device to start playback through the radio speakers. To gain optimal volume levels, adjust the volume level on both the secondary device and on the radio. Note: It is recommended that you unplug the 3.5mm audio cable from the AUX socket after you have finished listening to your external device.

Scanning for DAB stations With DAB radio, additional stations and services regularly become available so it’s a good idea to carry out a manual scan every now and then to make sure that you have the most up to date station listing stored within the memory of your radio. If you have moved your radio to another location, e.g.: if you go on holiday, then it’s also a good idea to carry out a manual scan. In DAB mode: 1. Press and hold the MENU button until <Full scan> is displayed. Press and release the button to begin a search for stations. The display will change to ‘Scanning...’. A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed.

Storing a DAB station preset Your radio can store up to 10 DAB radio stations in its preset memories for instant access to your favourite stations. 1. Tune the radio to the DAB radio station that you wish to preset. 2. Press and hold the PRESET button for approximately 2 seconds until Preset Store <1:(Empty)> is displayed. 3. Use the or button to move to the preset location that you would like to store the radio station to (1-10). 4. Press and release the button, the display will confirm Preset X stored, where ‘X’ is the number of the preset (1-10). Note: If there is already an existing DAB station stored under a preset, it will be over written when you store the new station.

DAB display information When listening to a DAB station you can change the information that will appear on the display. There are several different types of information that are sent by the broadcaster. • Dynamic Label Segment (DLS) - this is scrolling text information supplied by the broadcaster. Information could be the name of an artist or music title, DJ’s name, contact details for the radio station etc. • Signal Strength - An empty will appear on the display to indicate the minimum signal strength for acceptable listening. The row of solid rectangles indicate the actual signal strength that you are receiving. The stronger the signal, the further to the right the row of solid rectangles will be. • Program Type (PTY) - such as ‘Rock’, ‘Pop‘, Talk’ or ‘News’ • Channel and Frequency - e.g.: 12B 225.648 MHz • Multiplex Name - displays the broadcasting area and collection of radio stations on this frequency e.g.: BBC National DAB, Digital 1 Network. • Signal error - This is displayed as a number between 0-99. It would not be possible to satisfactorily listen to a ratio station with a signal error rate of 30 or above. Try adjusting the aerial or relocating your radio to improve reception. • Signal information - The data rate at which the signal is being transmitted. • Mains power or Battery status information e.g.: Battery 100

Dynamic range control (DRC)

Before you use the radio, please move the radio antenna on the back of the radio into a vertical position, this will ensure that the maximum signal strength is available.

The dynamic range for each radio programme is set by the broadcaster for each radio station and may be different for the types of programme broadcast, such as pop or classical music or a chat show. The dynamic range control signal is transmitted in parallel with the audio signal for each programme and with your radio you can use this control signal to expand or compress the dynamic range (the difference between the loudest and quietest sounds) of the reproduced audio signal. Changing the dynamic range can affect the ‘loudness’ and/or ‘quality of sound’ of the programme that you hear so that it will be more suited to your listening conditions and your own personal listening requirements. e.g. in a noisy environment, where quiet sounds might be swamped, setting the compression to maximum will ‘boost’ the quiet sounds, whilst keeping the loudest sounds at their original level. There are 3 levels of compression: • DRC off - no compression. This is the default setting.

There are two different options to choose from: Strong stations: The scan will only stop when a strong signal strength is received which should also result in a better audio quality. It is possible that the station you are scanning for may be missed using this option. All stations: The scan will stop for every station it receives, even if the signal strength is poor. 2. Use the or button to choose from the two options available and press and release the button to confirm.

Note: Remember to set the alarm radio volume to one that will wake you. The radio has a minimum alarm volume setting of 4 bars. The alarm volume will increase progressively until it reaches the alarm volume you have set.

The sleep time minutes that you have selected will be displayed on the top line of the radio display, eg S90 and will countdown until the radio switches off.

Radio reception is poor: • Make sure that the radio antenna is in a vertical position. • Retune for radio stations, see pages 45 and 49. • Try moving your radio to another location to see if reception improves. • Check that you do not have other electrical equipment too close to your radio, causing interference. • If you are using the radio on battery power, the battery may need to be recharged. • Visit www.radio.no for information about DAB reception in your area.

Unable to pair with a Bluetooth device: • Check that you are in Bluetooth mode. • Ensure that you are within range of the radio for Bluetooth functionality, 10 metres or less (33 feet or less). • Move the radio and Bluetooth device away from other Bluetooth devices/electrical equipment. • If possible, turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices or disable their Bluetooth. functionality.

• Check that the mains power lead is connected at the back of your radio and the mains power wall socket is switched on. Press and release the button. • If you are using the radio with the rechargeable battery, it may need to be recharged. Plug in the mains power to recharge the battery (in Standby mode). • Check that you are trying to use the function buttons for the mode that you are in. Play/pause, Skip forward and Skip back will only work in Bluetooth mode. • Try a reset to factory defaults. See page 56. Note: All of your settings, including the radio station list and any presets will be deleted when you reset the radio.
