CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING ADMITTED TO THE NATION’S MOST INFLUENTIAL COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN!

Below is a useful checklist of important next steps. For more details on each step, visit:

SAIC.EDU/GRNEXT

n Activate your SAIC student account at password.artic.edu

You will need the ID number from your admission letter, last name, and date of birth.

n Apply for Financial Aid (domestic students only*): Complete your FAFSA at fafsa.gov if you have not done so already.

*International students and Certificate in Historic Preservation students do not file a FAFSA.

n Review/follow financial aid offer instructions

Accept/decline Federal Direct Stafford loans

Financial aid offers for FAFSA applicants are mailed as soon as your eligibility has been determined, and are posted online in Self-Service.

Financial aid instructions and next steps are emailed to students.

Federal Direct Stafford loan offers must be accepted or declined. Visit saic.edu/faoffer.

n Make your enrollment deposit

The due date for your $500 nonrefundable deposit is listed on your admission and/or scholarship letters.

n International Students ONLY: Visit saic.edu/intladmits to complete the forms necessary for International Affairs to issue student visa application related documents. International admits may contact the Office of International Student Affairs directly via intaff@saic.edu

n Secure housing

While most graduate students choose to live off-campus, oncampus options are available as well. Details can be found at saic.edu/housing

n Register for classes

Departments will reach out to you directly to arrange an advising appointment by early April. Departmental contact info can also be found at saic.edu/grnext under “Step 5: Register for Classes.”

n Accept or waive health insurance and send immunization records

Visit saic.edu/health for more information.

n Send final transcripts by July 1st
