Introducción
A través de los seis números publicados en estos tres años se observa como se han originado diversas expresiones gráficas en el espacio público. Se puede percibir ciertas tendencias, filosofías en torno al graffiti o al arte urbano. Por una parte están quienes entienden el graffiti como una forma de vandalismo, es decir que el graffiti debe ser ilegal, por otra parte, están quienes ven el arte urbano como una manera de expresarse creativamente, lo cual los lleva a solicitar permisos para poder realizar libremente y con tiempo su obra.Ambas posturas son respetables, se destaca el hecho de que la mayoría de participantes en el arte urbano o graffiti juarense realizan sus trabajos de manera autogestionada. Este número no solo representa el tercer aniversario de un proyecto de difusión sino que además es una muestra clara del hacer creativo de personas con la necesidad de apropiarse de espacios públicos, en un sentido gráfico, por lo cual dedicamos este número a tod@s aquell@s que con recursos propios buscan generar espacios de creación para realizar tipografías urbanas, ya sean tags, bombas o elaborados pieces, caracteres, pegar stickers y carteles.

Since the six published editions on the past three years, some observations have originated among diverse graphic expressions on the public space.We can perceive some philosophical, tendencies around graffiti or street art.There are the ones that believe that graffiti is vandalism and therefore it has to be illegal. On the other hand, there are the ones that think street art is a way of expressing creativity.These street artists ask for permission so they can have enough time to freely express themselves on their work. Both postures are valued moreover the majority of participants creating street art or graffiti use resources to create their own work.This issue represents not only the third anniversary of an expansion project but to show the creative work of people that needs to take over public spaces in a graphic sense.This issue is dedicated to all artists that use their own resources to find space to create their urban typographies, tags, bombs, or elaborated pieces, stickers and posters.

¿Desde cuándo y por qué se juntaron? Why did you start the crew and Pues fue yo creo que la necesidad de estar pintando.Al principio fue Talavera y yo, fueron los que iniciamos; también el otro colectivo que teníamos antes que fue Yutzil, pero pues como que ya no funcionó tanto y nos queremos meter más al Street, más a calle y pues decidimos ser. Conocíamos al fundador de la revista de Hype que es una revista de hip hop aquí en Juárez pues ya decidimos platicarlo con él y todo el rollo y pues si nos hicimos un derivado de la revista, pero pues nosotros con nuestro proyecto y ya él con su proyecto aparte. 10

Betone: I think it was the necessity to paint. Talavera and I were the first members, and Yutzil crew that was before, but that crew didn’t work good, and we wanted to be more street, that was the reason of the crew.We met Hype magazine’s founder, that it is a hip hop magazine from here Juarez, so we decided to talk with him.We worked on the magazine, but we with our project and him with his own project.

Internacionales pues me gustan mucho el crew y el estilo de los MSK de Estados Unidos, me gusta más Bose, el Revok, el Does, me gusta más el estilo como que tienen limpio como de ilustración y queremos más o menos pegarle ahí a la calidad que tienen ellos pero pues.
¿Y locales de aquí de Juárez?
Revok, and el Does that has a clean illustrations and we want to make more or less the same quality of them.
And locally? Betone: Locally….. I like the Union style because the clean work, the quality that they make, but I think that there are a lot. I think that every time that I see a new mural you get information and you see different things and all are “chingonsotas”.

¿Qué importancia tiene para ti el arte urbano?
Betone: For example, for me it is very important, it’s like I can express myself, a way to take off the stress, the negative energy that sometimes we have, so it is fundamental to put it down on the walls.

¿Qué significado tiene OFA?
What is the OFA’s meaning?
Pues OFA es un crew muy grande, tiene distintos significados uno de ellos lo podemos acercar al urbanismo que es Only For Art, que en sus siglas en español es solo por arte, esta agrupación ya tiene bastante tiempo, tiene desde 1 981 , nació con los crews en la localidad de Pico Unión en los Ángeles California.
OFA is a big crew, it has different meanings one of the meanings we can related to urbanism that it is Only For Art.This crew has a lot of history, since 1 981 , it was born in Pico Union location in Los Angeles, California.
When you started here in Juarez?
¿Aquí en Juárez desde cuando se jun- I think in ´85. taron? When did you started with OFA? Desde, me parece durante el 85.

¿Podrías contarme inicio el grafiti en Ciudad Juárez? Inició como en el…, bueno en mi época. Cuando se puso chida es en el 96, del 95 al 99 es cuando se puso chida, es cuando te comento sobre la guerra de grafiti de crews, la batalla por el liderazgo o por exponer quien traía más estilo, es cuando se notaba más, este a mi parecer inició en el 90 aquí en Juárez, no se vuelvo a comentarte, empezó lo más bueno, a mi punto de vista.
¿Cuáles grafiteros de Ciudad Juárez te han influenciado? De Ciudad Juárez el Mack, el Mack STK, una crew desaparecida, Risk, ¿quién más?, Sas, ¿quién más? Abion, Zona, Coka, Gramo… ya esos, esos ya están desaparecidos, ya no los he visto, ya tiene muchos años que ya no están activos.
¿Para ti que es grafiti? ¿Para mí que es grafiti? Es una exposición de ideas, con dinámicas, es una experiencia muy agradable para mi persona, para las personas que me rodean y que les gusta, les gusta el grafiti bien hecho y ya no es
