ACCORDING TO DATA RESEARCH, PROMOTING COMMERCIAL SPACES ARE VIABLE IN TERMS OF SOCIAL EQUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EQUALITY.
DENSIFYING REDHOOK PHASES
VACANCIES
PUBLIC HOUSING
FILLING THE VACANCIES OF THE EMPTY LOTS ARE THE OPPURTUNITY WHERE EXISTING AND FUTURE DEVELOPMENT CAB CO-EXIST CORRESPONDINGLY.
NEW PROPOSAL FOR THE PUBLIC HOUSING IS NECESSARY DUE TO ITS OBSOLETE DESIGN. THE NEW DESIGN WILL BRING UP ITS DENSITY.
HIGH RISERS
HOSTING A CAMPUS
CHANGE OF ZONING IS CRITICAL TO BRING UP DENSITY IN RED HOOK. HIGH DEGREE OF POPULATION IN A SQUARE MILE ESTABLISH REASONABLE GROUND FOR BUSINESSES TO OPEN AND MAKE THE CITY BUSIER THAN EVER.
INVITING A CAMPUS TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD BRINGS NEW TYPES OF RESIDENCIES INTO THE CENTER OF THE CITY. IT MAKES THE CITY MORE DYNAMIC SINCE MAJORITY OF STUDENTS WILL COMMUTE AND BRING DIFFERENT SOCIAL EQUALITY.

FINAL PROPOSAL > HIGHER DENSITY NEIGHBORHOOD >INCREASE GREEN SPACES
DURING THE SECOND PHASE, THE AFFECTED RESIDENTS ARE MOVED INTO NEW BUILDINGS WHOM MAIN PURPOSE IS TO TEMPORARILY ACCOMMADATE THEM.

THE HOOK CURRENT UTILIZATION OF THE HOOK IS DESIGNATED AS PARKING SPACE. IN OUR PROPOSAL, THE WALL IS MERGED WITH THE HOOK AND WILL UTILIZE THE SPACE WITH SHOPS AND WALKING PATH WHICH CREATES THE URBAN PROMENADE.
MARSHLAND, HISTORICAL BUILDING AND, BEACHES THE EXISTING AND ONLY BEACH IN RED HOOK IS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE THE RESIDENTS WITHOUT ANY OBSTRUCTION FROM THE ADJACENT INDUSTRIAL SITES. PROMOTING THE WATERFRONT TO THE CITY CAN IMPROVE THE LIVING QUALITY OF THE RESIDENTS AND TO THE BUSINESSES IN THE HISTORICAL BUILDING. MARSHLANDS ARE FILTRATION SYSTEMS FOR THE INNER SIDE OF THE WATER WITHIN THE BOUNDARY OF THE WALL.
UTILITIES GO UNDERGROUND OR ABOVE FIRST FLOOR
THE NEW ATTRACTIONS THE CURRENT TERMINAL FOR THE FERRY AND CONTAINERS ARE REHABITLIZED FOR THE LOCALS AND VISITORS. ITS VALUE OF THE LAND IS UNDERRATED FOR ITS CURRENT USE. THIS AREA SHARES THE VIEW OF MANHATTAN SKYLINE AND VIEW TO STATUE OF LIBERTY. IT TRANSFORMS INTO ENTERTAINMENT AREA.
48
THE CURRENT WATER TABLE BELOW GROUND IS IMMINENT THREAT TO THE EXISTING BUILDING AREA
PROJECTED LOWERED WATER LEVEL
IT CENTRALIZES RISING WATER TO CERTAIN SPACES HELPING THE WATER LEVEL BACK DOWN
THIS TYPE OF FOUNDATION GIVES THE BUOYANCIES TO THE HOUSE. THIS STUDY SUGGESTS THE WAY TO PROTECT THE PROPERTIES OF INDIVIDUALS EVEN IN CATASTROPHIC INCIDENTS LIKE SANDY. THE PURPOSE OF DEWATER STATION DOES NOT ONLY SERVE AS AN ENGINEERING SOLUTION, IT SERVES AS A GATHERING SPACE LIKE ICE SKATING OR FLEA MARKET AREAS WHERE PEOPLE SHARE THEIR SOCIETAL QUALITY.

THE REDWALL THE RED HOOK IS MAJOR INDUSTRIAL NEIGHBORHOOD LOCATED SOUTHWESTERN SIDE OF BROOKLYN, SURROUNDED BY BUTTERMILK CHANNEL, GOWANUS BAY, AND GOWANUS CANAL. ENITRE NEIGHBORHOOD IS DESIGNATED WITH ZONE A BY F.E.M.A. THE NEIGHBORHOOD SUFFERED FROM SUPERSTORM SANDY AND IS FACING A SERIOUS THREAT TO INDUSTRIES, BUSINESSES AND RESIDENCIES DUE TO RISING WATERS. CURRENT INTENSIVE EFFORT OF POST-SANDY DEVELOPMENT COULD BE FURTHER DEVELOPED WITH THIS RESEARCH. IN- DEPTH DIAGRAMMATIC ANALYSIS BELOW SUGGEST THE CURRENT ISSUE AND DEMANDS OF REDHOOK
