Flooding from monsoon rain occurs almost every year across parts of China, but the country is now facing some of its worst floods in more than a decade. Heavy rain since the beginning of the month has forced evacuations of about 1.8 million people in 24 provinces, mainly in Southern China. World Vision Hong Kong is closely monitoring the situation in Southern China and will provide assistance to people in the affected areas.
