A Letter from Fr. Dominik (cont’d.)
without God. We have to see those points of crisis, not as a curse, but maybe as a real turning point of grace. It is in our lowest point, that God may even challenge us, like Dante, to go further down from the Lost Woods into Hell. On our own, it is impossible, but it was God who sent Virgil to Dante, God also will send guides to us. It is not a journey of guarantees, but one that calls us to trust and hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel. As Winston Churchill famously said, “If you’re going through hell, keep going.”
