SAINT VIATOR STUDENTS ARE READY TO SERVE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The young men and women of Saint Viator High School become faith-filled change makers in the world through the school’s robust service program. Our students learn to understand and identify needs inside and outside of their own communities and then provide time and energy to make a profound transformation in the lives of others. Through this enriching process, students develop their faith, hope, empathy, leadership, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial thinking to address injustices.

Explore the causes, connections, and consequences of justice issues. Reflect on these issues through our Catholic faith, scripture, Catholic social teaching, and the lived experience of our Viatorian community. Act and respond to these injustices through direct service or through actions of social change. Serving others promotes faith leadership, self-confidence, a genuine happiness boost, new friendships, and missionary discipleship.

VIATORIAN SERVICE LEARNING

Each year, students are required to complete a designated number of hours of service as part of their graduation requirement. As a mission-driven school rooted in the Catholic tradition, it is always our aim to enable our students to live more fully in line with the Gospel and Catholic social teaching.

We work with more than 70 agencies and organizations where students show their dedication to serving others, including community partners like Journeys: The Road Home, SALUTE, INC., Phil’s Friends, Wings, and Clearbrook.
