New Year 2015: Vastu for new beginnings
The New Year 2015 is round the corner and it’s time to get rid of some old bad habits and take a pledge of leading a healthy, wealthy and blissful life. Prosperity and good luck doesn’t come knocking; rather it demands a lot of hard work, blessing and of course a little tweak in ‘Vastu’ in your surroundings – home or workplace. As New Year is approaching, it’s to leave behind all the bad luck and pain and look forward to greener side of the life with the use of these vastu tips. ‘Vastu’ can make or break. When you align vastu-shastra in setting up your house or office in a correct manner, it is believed to bring peace and prosperity in life and help in excelling at workplace. But when the vastru rules are not followed correctly, it can as well devastate one’s life and create tension. Following are some vastu tips for new beginnings. Declutter the house: Keep your house clean and tidy to attract good luck. Discarded items such as old gadgets including charger and broken music system, old cloths, old newspapers, old and torn bed sheet that have not been used for more than six months should be thrown away from home with immediate effect. As they hinder growth and money flow in the house. Never keep a broken mirror or show the broken tile or marble. Always cover it with carpets. Puja room
Make sure you have a puja room. In vastu point of view, having a pooja room is a must. Keep the photo or idol of Ganesh brings prosperity and brings happiness in the house. It is important to worship the front door every day where you put the swastika symbol. Use Wind chimes at the entrance door or center of living room to clear vastu defects or negative vibes. You can use diyas to welcome new year, but ensure that they are in multiples of four as Vastu says each diya represents god and goddess of wealth and prosperity like Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh, Lord Kuber and Lord Indra. Vastu for New Home and for existing house If you are planning to move to a new house which was laid empty for three months; first perform a puja and enter to get rid of the evil or negative energy in the house. It is a good idea to give a name to the residence. Vastu recommends to avoid cooking facing north or south direction. Avoid bedroom where the door opens directly to a staircase. Never keep TV or computer in your bed room. The reflection of the television screen and computer screen should be directly fall on the bed. Avoid shoes or slippers near front door. Slow clocks or clocks not in working condition indicates finances stagnate. Either fix them or give them away. Dripping taps and leaky pipes will block or leak your financial energy. Do not keep medicines in the kitchen. You can eliminate negative energy by mixing salt in water and spraying this in each and every corner of your home. In office or workplace context Keep a flowing fountain at the entrance to bring harmony and good luck. Never leave the cellar of your office empty. If the office has an underground cellar, it should be occupied always. An empty cellar brings bad luck to the organization. Never sit back to the main door (your back should not face the main door). It’s a thumb rule not to accept money in two fingers; always open your palm and take money with five fingers. Never clutter your workstation. It not only distracts your complete attention, it also spreads negative energy. Along with other New Year resolutions, make sure you always keep your desk tidy and clean to attract positive vibe and good luck.
