Tips to celebrate New Year party in your apartment New Year arrives just after Christmas and we are left with very little time to prep up our apartment for the bash. Be smart enough and make your New Year party a glitzy one by planning it well in advance. Here is a checklist. 1. Decorate your home/apartment premises for Christmas bearing in mind the New Year party. This way you will save your money, time and energy on prepping up the space. All you need to do is to add additional scented/shimmering candles and votives all around the space. Make centerpieces and focal points using pine cones, candles and dried twigs. 2. Throw a New Year party or an end-of-the-year meal (meal eaten before the clock strikes 12). Ensure that you invite your guests in advance through cards, mails or word of mouth. Have an RSVP option so that you know the number of people attending your party. 3. Choose a party theme and inform your guests about it. Host a costume party and get a set of appropriate attires for your guests along with party hats, streamers and noise makers. Apart from a costume party, you can also organize a pajama party with your close friends. Pick any theme like celebrity, superhero, cartoon characters, goth, etc and throw in a prize for the best dressed person in order to motivate your guests. 4. To celebrate a perfect New Year party, plan on the games beforehand. The games can involve aspects of New Year resolutions from your guests. Let your guests write down their resolutions for the year and read them out aloud. 5. Save yourself from the chores for the day by hiring a cook and a bar tender. Let the bar tender serve your guests and pamper them delicious gourmet food. Do not forget to display an array of desserts and starters too. It is advisable that you stick to menu which can serve your guests as well as create a sophisticated ambiance. 6. Let your guests share New Year resolution. You can simply have a plain white board or make a booklet for your guests to write down their resolutions. 7. Mark the event at the time of the clock striking 12 by either toasting with your loved ones or by lighting crackers.

8. Get the latest music tracks and let your guests dance the night away. Have varied genres of music for your guests to choose from. While it is always advisable to get a professional DJ to spin the music it may be hard to find a budget friendly one during this time of the year. Do not forget to have a designated dance area replete with dim lighting and a classic shiny disco ball to complete the nightclub look. 9. Talking about food and drinks, avoid over buying and instead base your calculations on this general rule of two drinks per guest during the first hour followed by one drink for every hour after that. Buy in bulk to get good discounts and rent the glasses to trim costs. 10. Have a midnight prayer service in your apartment. 11. Bid farewell to your guests with parting gifts. Gifts like a fortune cookie, embellished mistletoe or an appealing ornament can be given as return gifts. Read more real estate articles New Year Celebrations in major cities!
