Real estate trends After the saturation of Colaba and Nariman Point, MMRDA has decided to acquire about 1.84 crore sq. mt of land and convert them into major business centres along with rental housing projects and other facilities. A second reason for looking at a new CBD is the dwindling land resources at the BKC. Wadala has been considered as a suitable substitute for BKC by MMRDA. As such, there is a good residential real estate activity going on in the area. Some of the major builders here include Lodha Group, Dosti Realty and Ajmera Realty & Infra (I) Ltd. The area offers a good number of spacious 2BHK apartments with built up area in the range of 1,2001,500 sq. ft. The approximate property value of these units are in the range of Rs 2-2.5 crore.

According to a news bulletin released by CommonFloor in July 2014, Lodha Group launched about 520 2BHK units with built area of 1,480-1,500 sq. ft with a price tag of average Rs 2.5 crore.
