Origami Fund は折り紙の作り方を学べると同時に実際に作った折り紙の 写真を撮ってアップロードすると指定した被災地に1ドルの募金ができ るチャリティアプリ。自然災害による被害を受けた国や都市のに向け、 "Pray for ◯○ " と書かれた画像を SNS にアップロードするなど、支援 や応援の意思を示す人々が世界中で後を絶ちません。日本の千羽鶴とい う祈願やお守りの伝統的な風習をヒントに、世界中の一人一人のその祈 りが直接的な支援に繋げることができるのではないかと考え、このアプ リを制作しました。 Origami Fund is a charity app for world disaster relief. With this app, you can learn how to make origami crafts by looking at diagram and instructions on screen. Once you created a origami craft, take a picture of it and upload it to online. One photo of your origami will become one dollar donation. The donations from this app and website will be used for disaster relief in the world. Origami is a Japanese traditional hand craft that is loved by everyone. Also, in Japan, we make 1000 paper cranes and send them patients in hospitals praying for their recovery. I believe making origami and send it to people suffered from disaster, injured and disease could be good concept because origami is a "gift for wishing recovery. "

The target market for Pinnacle’s Golf Balls are beginners and amateur golfers who enjoy golf as a hobby and seeking a higher quality golf ball for practice and games. I created a package design with a beginner golfer in mind, drawing attention to the Pinnacle golf balls that makes people who are not familiar with golf.

The collection of 36 colors allows children to be an artist. The package came out sophisticated design. It includes a color menu book that allows children to learn about color with educational activities inside. The box of colored pencils with small educational materials also makes their parents want to give them to their children —future artists.

アメリカで毎年行われる最大級のハンドメイド・クラフトフェア。展示・ 販売される素敵なハンドメイド作品は、決して魔法ではなく人の手で 一つずつ作られたものであり、作り手一人一人がクラフトマンシップ を持ち作品を仕上げていく。一つの作品が丹精こめて作られ出来上がっ ていく様を伝えたく、職人の工房・アトリエをテーマにしました。 For this project I created a visual system that includes a logo, poster, flyer, and ticket for The Renegade Craft Fair. The Renegade Craft Fair is a curated indie craft marketplace event showcasing the handmade work and wares of independent makers, artists, and designers. The concept I set for this project was "Artisan's atelier" because I wanted to convey how craft works are made with great effort. The products sold in this event are not created by a magic, but are created by someone's hands and a heart of craftmanship.

自然科学から一つテーマを選び、それについての科学書をデザインする という課題。選んだテーマは「トラの生態、環境適応能力」について。 夜行性動物で絶滅危惧種にも指定され、観察することが困難であるトラ の生態を4章にわたって紹介しています。表と裏どちらからでも読み始 められるようになっており、表の "In the Light of Day" では主にトラの 昼の生活や行動、裏の "In the Black of Night" では活動的になる夜の行 動について書かれています。 The tiger is the largest member of the cat family. The orange and black stripe pattern in the jungle strongly reminds us who they are. However, they are not like that by chance. This scientific book talks about the tiger’s adaptation and its activity in day and night. It’s a flip book that you can start to read from both side “In the Light of Day” or “In the Black of Night.”

既存の欧文書体を一つ選び、歴史やかたちの特徴などその書体を紹介す るカードを制作するという課題。基本欧文書体の一つで、著名な書体デ ザイナー・Adrian Frutiger によってパリの空港のサインのためにデザ インされた Frutiger を選択しカードセットを制作しました。あまり知 られていないこの書体の生い立ちが明快になるよう空港の看板やサイ ンのようなデザインを起用しました。 This project was to create a typographic card set of at least ten individual cards. The goal of the project was to promote a typeface in a modern and an interesting way. I chose Frutiger that was designed by Swiss typographer, Adrian Frutiger. Frutiger was originally created for directional signage in Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris in 1975. The design was inspired by the original sinages in the airport.

カリフォルニア・Kenzo Estate を代表するワイン・藍のラベルデザイン。 世界中で飲まれるこのワインに、「洗うほどに色が冴え、歳月を重ねる 度に色が変化する藍染めにも似て、長期熟成により、まろやかに変化す る繊細な表情が秘められている。」というワインに込められた思いとオー ナーの出身国である日本らしさが視覚的に伝わるデザインにしました。 The label design is inspired by the product name itself “Ai”, which is refers to a Japanese natural dyeing technique that uses dyes from plants and other natural sources. "Ai-Zome" is one of the "Kusaki-Zome" dyes that specifically refers to the natural dyeing process that creates the "Ai" color, which means "indigo blue". Japanese natural plant dye can create various shades of blue depending on the level of fermentation or the dyeing time, and each shade has a different name according to its slight color difference. Similar to the variation in color, Kenzo Estate wines vary in color and taste every year, as well as with age.

"Where are you?" を自由に解釈し、映像・音・文字をつかいショート ムービーを制作するという課題。この問いにこたえるにあたり、"There is a crack in everything that is how the light gets in" (万事に裂け 目がある、だから光が入り込む)というレナード・コーエン作の楽曲 Anthem の歌詞の一部を引用しムービーを制作しました。Where are you? (あなたはどこ?) 、 Who are you?(あなたは誰?) 、 What is "You"?(” あなた”とは何?) 、What makes "You"?(何が " あなた”を作るのか?) それは、ユニーク且つ他人と違う何かであり、同時にそれは他人が受 け入れがたく、慣れ親しまないもの、違和感であると考えました。し かしその違和感があるからこそ、それが”あなた”であるとわかる。 卵は生命・人間の原点を表現しています。 I incorporated the quote “There is a crack in everything that is how the light gets in” by Leonard Cohen in my project to answer the question. What makes you will be the theme of this project. Characteristic is often referred as something unique about you and different from others. At the same time, characteristics could be said that something other person feels it’ s unexpected, unfamiliar, sometimes discomfortable. The concept is “imperfection of things.” Imperfection, it’ s good or not, but it is what makes things special.

With some research and they discovered that no bacteria will grow in honey, and that bee pollen is a complete food. Mix the two together and you get a complete raw food that will not spoil. To speak out the their tasty, healthy and pure honey, I created new identity based on the concept of “handmade” and “homemade” bringing the real story behind the company.

A store where form met function and what the consumer was purchasing was as transparent as possible. This was a group project working with four other people. We named the store Sphere based off the natural form of the earth we live on. There are four lines within the store brand to make sure the consumer can get the essentials for every day life in one shopping trip. Within Sphere Store lies Sphere Taste, Sphere Wear, Sphere Life and Sphere Pure. Within each line the material it is packaged in, either speaks to the essence of the function or lets the physical product speak above everything else. To make it easier for the consumer to differeniate the differen’t lines within the store we use a color driven system and a sphere made of the materials within that specific brand.

複数のプライベードブランドを展開する販売店のパッケージデザイン・ デザイン戦略を開発するという課題。グループプロジェクト。私たちが つくりだしたのは、Sphere Store。"Sphere"(球体)は私たちが住む地 球に基づいて名付けられました。Taste(食品)、 Life(日用雑貨・家具)、 Wear(衣類)、Pure(美容品)として4つのラインを設け、各ラインを4 つの色と4つの「丸」で分けています。Sphere Store の「全てに対して 正直に」というコンセプトに基づき、透明感のある素材を使ったパッケー ジにし、商品の中身や素材がダイレクトに伝わるようにしました。更に 3つのプライベードブランドも設け、それぞれ違ったターゲティングで 総合的により広い年齢層に来てもらえるような店にしました。
