Sal de Aquí Gourmet Salt with a meaning. Mexico is surrounded by flavors and aromas that combined with its culture and legends served as inspiration to create SAL DE AQUI. Where does our salt come from? Our fleur de sel is hand-harvested in the Cuyutlán Lagoon in Colima, México. This salt is considered as the salt with with highest quality in the world for its purity, subtle aromatic flavour and its huge benefits for the body. Why is it healthy? Hand-harvested in small batches, free of bleach, anti-caking neither forced drying or washing processes. 30% less sodium and more than 84 mineral nutrients. Due to its low content of sodium can be consumed by people with diabetes, hypertension and kidney problems. Our fleur de sel has FDA certification, Kosher and Mayacert (organic agriculture).

House blend mixed in molcajete prepared in small batches with grasshopper, different types of chiles and ingredients of the mexican pre-hispanic cuisine. It has a citrus hue, not very spicy, the best companion for cooking white meat, fish, vegetables and to enhance the flavor of beers, "micheladas", margaritas, etc.

Our interpretation of the maguey worm; grounded in molcajete with the best Mexican maguey worm and a select mix of smoked chiles. The smokey aroma and flavor is unique to pair it with Mezcal and is perfect for seasoning any food on the grill. THE BEST SALT FOR MEZCAL

All our products are handmade in molcajete by the NGO Madres Solteras trabajando en Tláhuac AC (single moms) We work with small producers who care traceability of our insects The entire product from the fleur de sel harvest to the packaging is done by hand.

WHY USE INSECTS?

Mexico sells 98 types of edible insects consumed since pre-hispanic times. Besides their unique flavor, insects are a great alternative source of protein (100 grams of grasshoppers reach 72% protein) They are easy to digest, they are friendly with the body fat and are rich in calcium, magnesium, vitamin B.
