WHAT IS THE CERTIFICATE IN HOLOCAUST AND GENOCIDE STUDIES? WHAT CAN I DO WITH IT?
The 15-credit graduate certificate is an interdisciplinary program designed to advance your knowledge and skills in the growing fields of comparative genocide studies and international human rights. Alumni of our program have gone on to advanced graduate programs and attained leadership and teaching positions at public and private schools, museums, nonprofit human rights and social justice organizations and the private sector.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
The program is designed to prepare students with a theoretical and practical knowledge of the diverse field of comparative genocide studies including the evolving area of international human rights. The program engages the complex issues in these areas through seminars with scholars and experts, collaborative and independent research projects, study and travel courses and professional internships. Completion of the program requires one foundational course followed by your choice of four electives that meet your intellectual and professional interests and goals.
