Marion T. Ahern Memorial Scholarship Awarded to a business major. Amanda Antonio Scholarship Award Awarded to a nursing major(s) with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher and financial need. Alumni Association Academic merit, participatory merit and community involvement. Antone Aquino Music Scholarship Awarded to a student who demonstrates outstanding academic excellence in music; music major or minor. Susan Marvin Barker Scholarship Fund Unrestricted.

Boylan Family Scholarship Award Graduate student(s) with demonstrated financial need; preference given to a student pursuing a degree of Master of Education in special education, with special attention to those concentrating on Autism Spectrum Disorders; must remain in good academic standing.

Sarah Elinore (Nicoll) Boyle ’17 Memorial Scholarship Award Awarded to a Salem State University student(s) with preference given to an undergraduate(s) majoring in social work, student(s) studying or working in the field of substance abuse, student(s) studying or working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and student(s) who has demonstrated financial need. Dr. Mary A. Bradley Scholarship Awarded to a junior or senior who attended Salem State University for two years with a minimum 3.3 GPA. 13

The Bill Bulloch Scholarship Awarded to any student(s) entering the professional phase of the athletic training major with demonstrated financial need. Preference to a student going into the field of athletic training or a student who has demonstrated civic engagement. Burns Family Scholarship Demonstrated financial need. Stanley P. Cahill Scholars Endowment Minimum GPA of 3.0; may demonstrate financial need; awarded for maximum of four consecutive years if the student remains in good academic standing. James D. and Joanna M. Calef Endowed Scholarship Fund Awarded to student pursuing a career in teaching with preference given to students who reside in Saugus, Lynn or Chelsea; minimum GPA of 2.5. Agnes L. and Joseph Carnevale Scholarship Awarded to a single mother regardless of her field of study. Jayne Carvelli-Sheehan ’78 Scholarship Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in nursing; financial need. Preference given to those interested in the following: care for the elderly (eldercare), care for those with physical disabilities (genetic or non-genetic), care those with cognitive impairment such as as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Down’s Syndrome, and care for the homeless. Stella Angelakis Chaggaris Memorial Education Scholarship Awarded to junior, senior or graduate student majoring in elementary education with intended career in teaching; financial need; minimum 3.5 GPA. Rose G. Claffey Memorial Scholarship Designated for an undergraduate student in the School of Education, financial need; strong academic achievement. Class of 1938 Education Scholarship Established for education majors. Class of 1941 Scholarship Awarded to School of Education upperclassmen who possess a strong academic record. Class of 1944 Scholarship Awarded to a student in the School of Education. Class of 1945 Scholarship Awarded to a student with strong record of academic achievement; intended career in teaching. Class of 1947 Scholarship Awarded to a student majoring in education. Class of 1948 Scholarship Awarded to a full-time undergraduate majoring in education. 14
