Perfect Security At times you may feel insecure Not knowing which way to go; With doubts and much confusion, Your steps are faltering and slow. Your faith is overcome by fear, While problems overcome your life. It’s hard to focus in such stress; Your joy is now replaced by strife. There is Someone who offers hope, Since He has walked life’s road alone. He has overcome all the obstacles, Through blackest night to light of dawn. He will give you perfect security – As long as you obey His Word, And you will never face a day When His Voice cannot be heard. Frances Culp Wolfe

And you shall be secure, because there is hope; you shall look round you and lie down in safety. Job 11:18

Spring Is… Spring is daffodils and pansies, Azaleas and dogwood trees, With pink and white cherry blossoms Blowing in the breeze. It’s redbud trees and robins And Easter lilies too; Nature’s pastel panorama Against a sky of blue.

Spring is hope and inspiration After Winter’s muddy thaw, A renewal of creation That leaves us all in awe. It’s warmer days with showers To help the roses grow, A greening of the hillsides And valleys far below. Spring’s a time to be planting With tender loving care, A time for Easter blessings, For sacrifice and prayer. Spring is Nature reawakening From Winter’s frozen dream, A time when surly situations Aren’t as bad as they seem. Clay Harrison

Spirit of Jesus Spirit of Jesus dwelling in me – Help me to listen, help me to see; Open my eyes and transform my heart, Let nothing ever keep us apart. Spirit of Jesus, live on in me – Help me be all You want me to be; Let me give praise and witness to You In what I say, in all that I do. Spirit of Jesus, my precious Lord, May Your Will and mine be in accord. Set me free to be loving and true In my decision to follow You. Spirit of Jesus, help me to grow; Scatter the seeds You want me to sow. Grant me a living faith I can share, And help me to spread it everywhere! Jeanette Martino Land 10

Life’s Sunrise and Sunset Have you ever watched the sunrise As it rose in the eastern sky, How it slowly leaves the horizon And a new day dawns on high? Have you ever been amazed by its beauty When the sun sets in the western sky, How it leaves behind an array of color And recedes from its watchful eye? Now darkness is soon to follow, ’Tis the final hours of the day; When compared to the span of our lifetime, We’ll liken our days this way. So we must live each day to the fullest, And to God be faithful and true; From the time of our life’s sunrise Until life’s sunset is due. Hazel Yoho 11

May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand times over, and bless you as He promised! Deuteronomy 1:11

Time Is a Gift The person who thinks he has nothing… No job or ladder of success to climb, Should stop allowing negative feelings For he’s been given ‘the gift of time.’ Time to get out and feel the sunshine And meet a neighbor or two. Pitch right in where a hand is needed In whatever they’re trying to do. Be the one to lean upon When strength has failed another. Be the person they call on first; Become a sister or a brother. The gift of time should never be wasted; It’s God’s blessing given to you. By passing His love on to others, You may see it is a dream come true. M. Elaine Fowser
