Our Individual God God is an “individual” God Who cares for you and for me. Each one is special, a one of a kind, And He loves us infinitely! He calls each one of us by name, He calls each one His own. He cares how each would spend their day And cares if each has grown. Never think that you don’t matter For you have a part in His Plan That only can be done by you… No other person can. We can rejoice in being us And having a loving Creator Who wants us to love Him back in return And love Him sooner than later. Margaret Peterson

Why As I sit here this day Lord, And watch the clear blue sky, I marvel at the things You do, And then I wonder why. Why do we doubt the things You do – Things done with pure Love… From the calming of the raging sea, To the cooing of the dove? Why do we put the blame on You, When things in life go wrong But take the credit for ourselves, When life is like a song? Why do we weep, when someone passes, From this world of trial and strife To Your two ever loving arms, And everlasting life? I just can’t understand the things, That we all say and do, I hope and pray, when it’s all done, That You will still be You. Ernie Hobbs

Spring’s Glory! Another Winter has passed On through… The springtime’s awakening, As all seems new. For God gave us rebirth, At the light of Easter dawn, How long, we have waited, While our spirits have grown. Much like the flowers, The daffodils and such, We thank Him for the showers And the sight of so much. Now the beauty surrounds us, By His creation of love, Expelling the darkness, From the warmth of above. Sheila Hayes Boucher

JamesWhen 3:17 the sun sets in the western sky, How it leaves behind an array of color And recedes from its watchful eye? Now darkness is soon to follow, ’Tis the final hours of the day; When compared to the span of our lifetime, We’ll liken our days this way. So we must live each day to the fullest, And to God be faithful and true; From the time of our life’s sunrise Until life’s sunset is due. Hazel Yoho 11

A Friendly Fence Most fences harbor deep within The privacy of man, Their boundaries are clear to all: “Don’t come within this span.” They block the eyes, the soul, the heart Of those sheltered within; They can’t look out… as we can’t look in, Seclusion… does anyone win? Although, once upon a fairy tale, A fence beckoned me inside; Its warm and friendly attitude Promised secrets to confide.

The gate was ajar… the path well worn, Loving hands had painted details; The fence was barely there at all, So, I followed the pleasing trail. God’s peace was invited into the hearts Of those who strolled inside; Fences crumbled as lives were shared, Peace “happens” when gates open wide. Charleen Bichel
