Timeless The world is timeless at nine in the morning, For all of the day lies ahead! There’s time to call on the telephone Or do some task that I dread. But if the day isn’t orderly, I can feel my tension build. It isn’t quite as easy to smile, My enthusiasm gets killed. We’ve got to have firm direction, For time is a precious thing! It started when God made the heavens, It must have caused angels to sing! When I wake I will ask God to guide me Wherever He wants me to go. There’s time to be timeless in Heaven, It’s now that our efforts must show! Margaret Peterson

Time Some days, time can be my foe – It seems to drag and drag on so. I think the day will never end, I have so much of it to spend. But other days are precious gifts And all I do, my spirit lifts. I cherish each and every hour And everywhere I find a flower. So time, it seems, is not the thing That causes me to frown or sing, But what I hold within my heart That plays, by far, the greater part. Sherrie Ferens

“As for me, I exalt my God, and my spirit rejoices in the King of Heaven.” Tobit 13:7

Man’s Debt to Time The passage of time no man can deny; It infiltrates our lives each day. On this affliction we must rely, ’Tis something no man can delay. Live your life each day as though There may be no tomorrow. May all your pleasures thrive and grow, Devoid of pain and sorrow. I sometimes wonder as time goes by, How much is left for me, But I just shrug and heave a sigh – What is to be will be. Each day now as I arise, I welcome the morning sun. I feel that I have won first prize, Another day I’ve won. This borrowed time we all live on, We pray will never fade, But comes the day we see no dawn, Our debt will then be paid. Joseph Ferrara 10
Lord,
Thank You for a new day, please go before me and clear the way. Thank You for protecting me, thank You for guiding me, thank You for loving me. In Jesus’ Name… Amen
Life’s Sunrise and Sunset Have you ever watched the sunrise As it rose in the eastern sky, How it slowly leaves the horizon And a new day dawns on high? Have you ever been amazed by its beauty When the sun sets in the western sky, How it leaves behind an array of color And recedes from its watchful eye? Now darkness is soon to follow, ’Tis the final hours of the day; When compared to the span of our lifetime, We’ll liken our days this way. So we must live each day to the fullest, And to God be faithful and true; From the time of our life’s sunrise Until life’s sunset is due. Hazel Yoho 11
Time What is the value of each day We spend here on this earth? The time so swiftly passes by From the moment of our birth. At times the hours just seem to drag, Yet we waste precious minutes When we forget to live our lives With Christ the center of it.

Then other times the years just seem To almost disappear, And yet they hold no deeds of love Like drying someone’s tears. Dear Lord, of all my wasted years I pray that You will see Some little seed of good within That You can “grow” in me. To make my minutes and my hours Just overflow with love, For all I ever hope to be Comes from Your throne above. Gertrude B. McClain
