On Christmas Day No room at the inn was there for them, No room for them to stay. No room for the birth of Christ Child Upon this Christmas Day. Then in a lowly manger The Infant Christ did lay As the Star in the East shone brightly Upon this Christmas Day. We are so prone to fast forget The meaning of this day And think in terms of joy and mirth And in a festive way.
