DAY 6: 9.12.2010
Another semi-final clash between Sweden and Switzerland Just like two years ago, Sweden and Switzerland will clash on WFC semi-final on Friday. Sweden took the fourth place among top four with a clear 10-1 (2-1, 4-0, 4-0) win over Norway. - The first period was so-so but in the second and third there was no question about it, Sweden's head coach Kent Göransson said after the game. Still, he thought Norway played better than in the previous two times the teams had met this season. - They now played better but so did we. With the score at 6-1 after two periods it was obvious they would start taking chances which opened more opportunities for us. Skill against will characterized the semi-final between Switzerland and Russia. In the end, Switzerland and the quality was stronger than the fighting faces of Russian players, and the Swiss players could clap their hands for the 9-2 victory. Kent Göransson and his squad are ready for the semi-final against Switzerland. - They have a fantastic first unit that we will have to work hard with to stop but I think if we win the match between first lines the whole game is going to turn our way.

It was Mikulski who had the last laugh as he scored the winning goal. A hard shot from the left found its way in the near top corner past German goalkeeper Janek Kohler.

He has seen all the games played at the Hartwall Arena this week. So he hasn’t seen the daylight for a while. - Days are long and we don’t have much daylight here on zero level of Hartwall Arena.
