A taste of

URBAN LIVING The Avenue 8.4 combines innovation and attention to details to create truly refined space. An excitement with every door opened, this cutting-edge luxurious town house with emphasis on the importance of family values. The prospective estate is located at Karmo cadastral zone: C01. Abuja. The Estate is proposed to be developed in one block of 6No of 2 bedrooms, one block of 4No of 4 bedrooms, two blocks of 13No of 5 bedrooms and two blocks of 7No of 6 bedrooms “Net Zero Carbon” town houses. TSIRE (SUYA) A local favorite in Nigeria, suya is a traditional street food that has been tantalizing tastebuds for decades. Wuye Meat Processing Factory provides a clean energy space for the industrial production of Suya. This building is more than just a factory. It is a celebration of cultural cuisin that has been passed down from generations to generations. Providing an intriguing experience of wholesome memories, Wuye factory introduces it’s users to the slaughtering, cleaning, storing, processing, packaging and cooking process of Beef. At Wuye factory, the experience starts as soon as you walk in. Each space has a chic cultural feel to it and incorporates the finest traditional materials. Divided yet connected, on each floor level, the production and marketing/recreational spaces have a seamless threshold that allows the user explore different experiences in these spaces.








RED STAR EXPRESS


Delivering the

BEST SERVICES Red Star Express PLC is a world leading courier and package delivery company in Nigeria. Red Star Express Plc provides a portfolio of full logistic solutions in Nigeria which includes, but not limited to International and Domestic express delivery, Freight Forwarding, Integrated Logistics Solutions, Information and Document Management Solutions, Warehousing, Packaging Services, Food Delivery, Agriculture Logistics and E-commerce Solutions. The design aims to create an exclusive office space for one of Red Star’s subsidiary company located at WUSE zone 4. The main design idea is to create a space that exhibits the brand identity of the World Class Delivery company, a space that facilitates the continually design and provision of best-in-class logistics solutions. The main design brand element includes wooden feature walls that accentuates the space and touches of red colour (which is the brand colour of Red Star Express PLC) that highlights certain interioro components. With user comfort in mind, the executive office space is designed to accomodate different entrepreneurial activities.












SLOWMO


Community Centre for YeniBogaziçi (New Bosporus) also known as Agios Sergios in English is a large village near the ancient site Salamis, Northern Cyprus. . Before the conflict in Cyprus pre-1974 the village of Yeni bogaziçi was composed of both Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot residents and was situated within the Larnaca district in the South of Cyprus originally named Aytotoro. The Yenibogaziçi Municipality was formally established in 1980, originally composed of the one main village; and by 2005 the other seven villages joined the Municipality to establish its current state today. In 2013, Yeni Bogaziçi became an international Cittaslow member, the first in the whole of Cyprus. While analysing the site, I was intrigued by the strong sense of community. The way the elderly people relaxedly interacted with each other inspired me and with this I came up with SLOWMO as a concept. SLOWMO is the acronym for Slow space, Local materials, Organic design, Wholistic design, Meaningful experience, Openness.

THE ART WALK


Healing through ART This project is located at the area of the present-day CMC Golf Club in Yesilyurt, Lefke. It is located on the west coast of North Cyprus very close to the boarder that divides the south and the north. It is also situated in close proximity to the sea, and it has the problem of being isolated from the rest of the community. It is situated off the main road (Ecevit Cadessi). The area was establised in 1926 by the Cyprus Minning Coooporation (CMC) for its employees. This rehabilitation centre is designed for users with Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD). Social Anxiety Disorder is an i ntense anxiety or fear of being judged, negatively evaluated, or rejected in a social or public setting. The latest data shows that social anxiety affects about 7% of the population at any given time. The chances of developing social anxiety disorder at any time during the lifespan stands slightly above 13%. Social Anxiety Disorder is the third largest mental health care problem in the world today.

THE ART WALK The main idea is to design the rehabilitation as a safe haven for SAD patients to heal. Healing is Art, the art of moving from a place of darkness towards a place of brighter light. Healing doesn’t occur in a straight path; it consists of some ups and downs. Healing is transitional, a space of massive
