I am an ambitious young architect, who has been consistently praised by his fellow professionals for his passion for architecture. I am the recipient of Pakistan’s prestigious “Mehdi Ali Mirza Award” for my academic excellence and have been awarded multiple scholarships during the course of my academics. I have also participated in numerous architecture competitions and won a closed competition to design flagship INSEAD Business School by ADEK in AbuDhabi and also SAARC architectural school design competition in India that got me published in Architimes and Archinama newspaper. I am also honored to be a part of Archiply an organization of young architects that are involved in conducting yearly held international summer school architectural workshops at my university campus in Pakistan, where we focus on making project briefs that identify and might help in making better planning decision in Pakistan. I believe in Learning, Practicing, Sharing and so I have a dedicated Youtube channel where release a video every week and share tutorials and tips .
With more than 6 years of diverse working experience of which 2 years in Pakistan and 4 years in the UAE for residential, commercial and hospitality projects. I had the opportunity to work on various building typologies in Islamabad, Lahore, Dubai, Abudhabi, Sharjah, Lagos, Kerela and Cairo. My scope of work includes all phases of design, client meetings and preparation of client presentations. have worked on a wide range of projects from urban scale competitions and High-rise towers down to bespoke high end residential villas with attention to details.
In my current role as an Senior Architect in Building Design Department at SSH Design, I am involved in the project conception on projects based in Middle East region. My work involves conceptualizing projects in early stages and delegating tasks in the team to successfully acheive project timelines and deliverables. I am also responsible to work on competition proposals along with assisting the design director in coordinating and delivering projects.
I am well versed in almost all necessary cad software’s for BIM Modeling, 3d modeling, animation and visualization. Greater details of my accomplishments are enclosed in my resume. I am a process oriented designer and pick up design problems fast and come up with multiple design solutions. I am a perfectionist by nature, who is willing to go a step beyond to get things done.

MATERIALITY
The massing on site respond to the site vectors and programatic requirements of the project. It creates opportunities for outdoor landscape and an efficient access strategy.
The footprint and placement of the buildings is a response to the vector of the site, road access and to create outdoor landscape opportunities.
ACCESSIBILITY & LANDSCAPE
It is a reference to the surrounding architecture context and repetition of similar elements to homogonise the building in its context.
URBAN CONTEXT
The plot is not located near heritage sites and has no significant impact on areas of significant influence.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY DESIGN GENERATORS 2.0 ARCHITECTURE 21
Facade is divided horizontally by accentuating the slabs on every level which visually breaks the building down to human scale.
ALULA GUIDELINES
MASSING
The three individual blocks cater for three programmatic requirements. The Adult buildings with a male and female block along with a children building. These blocks are positioned and fenestrated to maintain privacy and opens up towards the landscape. Female block has been kept in proximity to the children block.
HERITAGE SITES
Courtyard are proposed to maintain private outdoor spaces for each block. The circulation spaces are wrapped around these courtyards to gain natural lighting. It acts as a landscape feature at the heart of each block. It becomes part of the arrival experience, visually connecting and inviting the visitors.
We have considered the Alula architecture guidelines however due to the functionality of the building and it being partly clinic deviates to other more appropriate styles in the guideline. The architectural language is coherent with the references provided by RCU and are indicated respectively.
HUMAN SCALE
Natural stone cladding sourced from a local quarry that reflects the regional color pallet based on Alula guidelines. Accentuating the regional character of the building.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTEXT
FOOTPRINT
The courtyard typology of the buildings responds to its surrounding context. The site is located between urban prototype 5 which is mid-density residential district. It provides a range of different dwelling types including family courtyard villas, town houses and residences. Architecture maintains the urban DNA of surrounding courtyard typologies.
COURTYARD
These vertical elements further enhance the play of light and shadow on the façade whilst framing surrounding views. Accentuated horizontal lines of the slabs visually breakdown the building to a human scale. Banding on the ground level with textured concrete panels further defines the human scale, with tangible texture, inspired by the proximity to the carved rock faces.
23
The facades are intended to be embellished with local stone face to contextualise the architecture. It is a re-use of the traditional form language of AlUla.
The roof top canopy maintains the fifth elevation and screens the MEP equipment at roof level, whilst providing a architectural capital to the development, and culminating final horizontal theme to all three buildings.
Exploring the solid and void massing to mimic the terrain of AlUla. The massing has been thoughtfully crafted supported by provision of vertical repetitive elements to reduce visual mass of the buildings, as well as provide additional solar shielding, and visual depth, illustrative of rock voids.

Conceptual Framework
Lower level has a straight slab responding to the functional requirements yet opening up with voids to bring the experience of rainfall into play.
The undulating roof above responds to the archetypal form locally for heavy rainfall climate and uses the flow of water to create multiple waterbody experiences inside the building. The undulating roof than creates a primitive cave like experience on the inside for its inhabitant and their well-being in natural environment.

Considering Mina Zayed as a future Art District, we proposed a space open to everybody, its not only for students but also a public space. We imagined it like a park, a space which creates a chance to communicate. It is a space that actively encourages students to choose where to go, do their work and study, get together and talk to their friends. It becomes condusive to learning, this building will be open and active from morning to midnight everyday.
ADEK INSEAD Business School

Giving it a night life by providing remote working spaces, multipurpose space and cafes to support this ambition. A place which is dedicated to students, where they not just study but live. The building has an amibition of openess and uniqueness to spread a lifestyle of entreprenuership and innovation.

The formal typology of a U block created a secure back and a private sunken garden that the client desired. The sunken garden allows sunlight to go deeper into the open basement and makes the outdoor space feel more spacious and enhances the focus on landscape. The Bronze openable screen filters the light into the first floor and maintains privacy from the neighbours. Interior spaces are visually connected across all levels to maintain social connection.

Creek Harbour Mosque DUBAI, UAE
The mosque is a fusion between a grand mosque and a district mosque. The four main archways stand 60 meters tall and light falls through its translucent marble facade. The Prayer hall is veiled with brushed gold aluminum screen. At night these archways become lanterns of the path which spread across the urban fabric; glow, direct, reveal, and frame the Creek tower, the streets in between and the Downtown.

Hatta terrace is an existing holiday home on site, client requested to design two distinct 3 bedroom villas on site to have private access and views that frame the Hatta mountains all around.
Amid the Covid crisis and clients push for privacy we designed contactless experience for guests. You feel as if you reached your own home without anyone standing to welcome you to the house.

Al Mamzar Beach Tower DUBAI, UAE
Edward Hopper’s famous painting “NightHawk” 1942 inspired tower. Chiclet pattern precast walls wrap around this tower. The absence of these panels create a frame and at times outdoor balconies. The use of transparent glass and soft corners increase the viewing angle and at the same time frames both the inside out and the outside in.
