ARTIFICIAL MOUNTAIN The Seoul’s Artificial Sierra is a project for reduce the loads in the environment. It is design by Alejandro Zaera-Polo and It was comisioned by the Seoul’s government. The project is located in the center of Seul, South Korea. The purpose of the actuation is improving the environment and rehabilitate the infrastructure. The actuation is composed by a Steel cables, walkways and vegetation.
Key words: POSTHUMAN CITY, MOVING, GREEN MOUNTAIN, CONECTION and COMOPOLITICS. The Project it is located in the center of Seoul, South Korea. Specifically, it is on the Seun sangga, which was a shopping area. There are some agents involve in this Project. On the one hand, the government department, who want concern the people with the environment that is why government created in 2002 the regulation for air quality index (AQI). Also, the world population, any layer was discriminated. On the other hand, the non-human agents are plants, mountains, animals.
Unfortunately, there are some problematics. The air pollution is a social problematic which drastically was increased. As well, this area was a result of “indiscriminate redevelopment that occurred during the dictatorship years and it became as a bad-knowledge place. Futhermore, the fail of an expected elevated walkway whch shoud link a sanctuary and Nam-San mountain, loss all the relevance because it was developed by different agents. The main idea was to projected an ecosystem which reduce the pollution pattern. The goverment wanted a public space with interactive elements to atract the people.
Therefore, they renovated by repairing the reinforced concrete structure of the Seun Sangga arcade. Later, they remodelling of the lower ground floor. Next, they created a bridge to link across the open space between walkways and series of new steel cables and structural propose will run the length of the promenade.
The strategies were several. One strategy is make new ecological envelopes that are proposed for Seun Sangga, also it contribute to reduce the energy loads in buildings. Other strategy is to make accessible to all the people and to produce bio-diverse continuity to the ground, turning the walkway into a continuum with the natural ground. So it is change the concept of green corridor by green linear block.
To move improve the ecosystem AZPML act in some layers. First, they act in the city by cleaning the air pollution. Second, they act in the neighbourhood revitalizing a marginal area. Third, they act in buildings by connection with the city and reducing levels of consumed energy. It is success to mix different buildings, which have become a residual area, to improve de air of all the city and the consume energy. Also, allows animals to cross the city in a save way.
As a conclusion, we can say that it is a Project to study, because they use simple and common elements in other way to get the objective. SalomĂŠ PagĂĄn Aracil
