College Kits We have three industry standard college kits that have been complied to meet the required standards in hairdressing and beauty NVQ levels 1-3. These can be supplied to colleges via our Business Development Managers or students can order their kits directly through their nearest store. UK students can also order our pre-packed kits via www.salon-services.com. See pages 6-9 for kit content details.

CPC We are an approved supplier for the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) for the Hair Consumables Framework.

The CPC is owned by the FE Sector and is the only purchasing consortium operating exclusively for Further Education Colleges and Sixth Form Colleges in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

CPC offers its members advice, guidance and policies on purchasing and EC Directives.

All the CPC Framework agreements are EU compliant and have been awarded using a robust scoring mechanism.

There is no membership fee for institutions. Members receive potential savings in terms of time and best value for their money by using the Framework Agreements.

Training We offer a wide range of hair and beauty courses that can be held either at your premises or at one of our many stores with training facilities. All our courses are modular based. Attending some of our courses will enable students to earn credits towards their course and lecturers can put the hours towards their CPD. Student Trade Card Our Trade Card enables students to purchase products at trade price, plus they can take advantage of our trade discounts and promotions throughout their course. For an application form students should visit their nearest store. To receive an application form, students will need to present their student ID card and a course receipt or enrolment acceptance letter.

terms & conditions Definitions In these terms and conditions the “Seller” or the “Company” means Sally Salon Services Limited, or any subsidiary or associated company and the “Buyer” means a purchaser of goods from the Seller under these terms and conditions.

Basis of Sale These terms and conditions and the Company’s quotation form set out the whole agreement between the Company and Buyer in respect of the purchase of the Company’s goods.

All orders for goods made between the Buyer and the Company shall be on these conditions to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions (including any terms and conditions which the Buyer purports to apply under any purchase order, confirmation of order, specification or other document).

Each order or acceptance of a quotation for goods by the Buyer from the Company shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to buy goods subject to these conditions.

The Company has the right to revise and amend these conditions from time to time to reflect changes in market conditions affecting the Company’s business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant law and regulatory requirements.

Prices All prices are correct at the time of printing but are subject to alteration without prior notice.

Delivery Costs Within the UK mainland only, all orders with a value of £100 (excluding VAT) and over will be delivered free of charge to a single delivery address.

For orders less than £100 (excluding VAT) or for multiple delivery addresses for orders of £100 (excluding VAT) and over a delivery charge of £5 (plus VAT) will apply for each and every order or delivery.

For deliveries outside mainland UK charges are based on a case by case depending on weight and destination.

Couches, chairs, large equipment and furniture are not included in the free delivery offer.

Where it has been agreed that goods will be collected by the Buyer or third party on behalf of the Buyer, the Company will notify the Buyer of the time and location when the goods will be available for collection.

Title, Risk and Retention of Title The goods will be the responsibility of the Buyer immediately upon delivery. Ownership of the goods will only pass to the Buyer when the Company has received payment in full of all sums due for the goods, including any delivery charges.

The Buyer agrees that prior to the payment of the whole price of the goods, the Company, or its appointed agent may, at its absolute discretion, enter the Buyer’s premises to collect such goods. Prior to such payment, the Buyer shall keep the goods in good condition, separate and identifiable for this purpose and shall return the goods to the Company within 3 working days should the Company request.

All quotations are valid for 60 days from date of submission to the Buyer. Thereafter prices may vary.

All prices are exclusive of VAT (which will apply at the applicable rate from time to time) and delivery costs.

Payment Payment is due to the Company in full prior to despatch of goods unless otherwise stated on the Company’s quotation form. Further orders will not be despatched whilst a balance is outstanding.

The Buyer can direct that payment for the goods is made to the Company by a third party on its behalf. The Buyer will notify the Company where payment is to be made by a third party and provide the Company with such information as the Company may require. For the avoidance of doubt, the Buyer will remain responsible to the Company for the aggregate value of the goods ordered in the event that such third party fails to make payment.

Overdue Accounts The Company may charge interest on any payments that have not been paid on the due date for payment at the rate of 4% a year above the base lending rate of HSBC Bank plc from time to time. This interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgment. The Buyer must pay the Company interest together with the overdue amount.

Defective Goods and Returns In the unlikely event that the goods do not conform with the order or are damaged, the Buyer must inform the Company as soon as possible after delivery and in any event within 48 hours after delivery.

If the goods are faulty the Company will collect the goods on an agreed date or ask that the Buyer to return the goods to the Company at the Company’s cost.

Once the Company has verified that the goods are faulty the Company may (at its sole discretion) either provide the Buyer with a full or partial refund or replace the goods or repair the goods. Testing fault goods may take up to 21 days.

These conditions will apply equally to any replacement goods or goods that have been repaired by the Company.

Cancellation The Buyer may at any time before the goods are dispatched amend or cancel an order by providing the Company with written notice. If the Buyer amends or cancels an order, the Buyer shall be liable to the Company for all costs the Company reasonably incurs in fulfilling the order up until receipt of the written notice amending or cancelling the order which includes but is not limited to a 5% handling charge applied to the value of the order cancelled and/or amended as well as any labour and transport costs.

The Company will not accept any amendment or cancellation once the goods have been dispatched.

Special orders (including non-standard component parts forming part of the special order) cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.

Alterations Any modification to orders must be confirmed in writing by the Buyer and agreed in writing with the Company.

Guarantee All items are guaranteed according to the manufacturer’s warranty. Certain restrictions apply, please ask for more details.

Failure to comply with the warranty conditions will invalidate your ability to rely upon the guarantee.

Where a claim on guarantee is made it must be accompanied by the original receipt of purchase

Force Majeure The Company reserves the right to defer the date of delivery or to cancel the order or reduce the volume of goods ordered by the Buyer (without liability to the Company) if it is prevented from or delayed in the carrying on of its business due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Company including, without limitation, Acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes (whether or not relating to either party’s workforce), or restraints or delays affecting carriers or the inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials, provided that, if the event in question continues for a continuous period in excess of 90 days, the Buyer shall be entitled to give notice in writing to the Company to terminate the order.

If the Buyer is unhappy with the goods for any other reason (other than being faulty), the Buyer shall inform the Company that it intends to return the goods to the Company at the Buyer’s own cost within 14 calendar days from receipt of the goods (“Non Faulty Goods”).

General

All Non Faulty Goods will only be accepted back by the Company if they are unused, in their original condition and in their original packaging. Kits will only be accepted back by the Company if returned as a whole. Non Faulty Goods will be refunded the full purchase price less a handling charge of 10% of the purchase price.

The Buyer and the Seller do not intend that any contract between them for the sale and purchase of goods incorporating these conditions shall be enforceable by any other person by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

Goods which are given free, as part of an offer, are not exchangeable or refundable, unless the full offer is returned in accordance with these conditions.

Certain goods cannot be returned, for example, because of hygienic reasons or because they are were ordered as a special order or non-standard component part of an order.

The Buyer’s statutory rights are not affected.

Limitation of Liability The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses or damages or claims or demands which include, without limitation, loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of data or wasted time, arising from or in connection with the supply and delivery of goods or the failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from every order for goods.

The Company’s total liability for any claim whatsoever howsoever arising shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the goods supplied.

Goods are subject to availability.

Any contract between the Company and the Buyer for the sale and purchase of goods and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

General Information Every care has been taken to describe and portray items accurately using current printing technology but slight variations in actual goods may occur.

Goods are sold on the understanding that they will only be used for their intended purpose. No responsibility will be accepted by the Company for trained or untrained personnel using and/or misusing goods supplied by the Company.

All goods are subject to stock availability and the Company reserves the right to restrict or refuse any order or application for credit at any time. In exceptional circumstances, if an article is unavailable, we may send a carefully selected substitute.

We take special care to show correct sizes and specifications and such descriptions which, given in good faith, are subject to alteration by the Company without notice.

These conditions do not exclude or limit in any way the Company’s liability for matters for which it would be illegal or unlawful for it to exclude, attempt to exclude or limit.
