DROP CAP Drop Cap is a striking typographic effect
which extends the size and line-depth of a single or multiple characters at the start of a paragraph. You can set the Number of Lines and choose to effect one or More Characters.
ETCHING Etching is traditionally the process of using strong acid or mordant to cut into the unprotected parts of a metal surface to create a design/intaglio (relief) in the metal.which is also used in typography.
font Each font of a typeface has a specific weight, style, width etc. a typeface is a set of one or more fonts.for eg. “arial bold” and “arial regular” are fonts within the same typeface.
glyphs In typography, a glyph is an elemental symbol within an agreed set of symbols, in tended to represent a readable character for the purpose of writing.Most commonly used glyphs are letters and numerals.
The hyphen (�) is a punctuation mark used to join words and to separate syllables of a single word. The use of hyphens is called hyphenation.
ITALIC In typography, italic type is a cursive font based on a stylized form of calligraphic handwriting. Owing to the influence from calligraphy, such fonts normally slant slightly to the right.
KERNING In�typography,�kerning�is the process of adjusting the “spacing” between characters in a�proportional font, usually to achieve a visually pleasing result.
LETTER SPACING In typography, letter-spacing refers to a consistent degree of increase (or sometimes decrease) of space between letters to affect density in a line or BLOCK OF TEXT.

Marginalia (or apostil) are scribbles, comments and illuminations in the margins of a book. Marginalia can add or detract from the value of an association copy of a book, depending on the author of the book.
NUMBER SIGN Number sign is a name for the symbol #, which is used for a variety of purposes, including the designation of a number (for example, "#1" stands for "number one").
OCTOTHORP # A typographic symbol having two vertical lines
intersected by two horizontal lines. It is also called the crosshatch, hash, numeral sign and number sign; in the U. S. it is commonly called the pound sign, especially to designate the symbol as used on digital telephone dials, It is commonly used as a symbol for the word number; as in #3 (meaning: number three)
pi characters In typography and typesetting, pi characters is the collection of special characters, such as mathematics, fractions, monetary symbols, or decorative symbols, such as ∑, √, ƒ, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, $, ¥, £, *, •, %, etc.
QUAINT
An antiquated sort or glyph, used to recreate the typographic flavor of a bygone age.
RECTO & VERSO
SERIF In typography, a serif is a s mall line attached to the end of a stroke in a letter or symbol. A typeface without serif is called sans-serif.
TYPEFACE A Typeface is a design for a set of printer or display font, each for a set of characters, in a number of speciic sizes.
UPPERCASE A letter or group of letters of the size and form generally used to begin sentences and proper nouns. Also known as “capital letters�.
VERTEX The outside point at the bottom or top of a character where two strokes meet. A point (as of an angle, polygon, polyhedron, graph, or network) that terminates a line or curve or comprises the intersection of two or more lines or curves.
WEIGHT Relative darkness of the characters of a type font resulting from the relative thickness of the strokes,expressed as light, bold, or extrabold.
X-height In typography, the x-height or corpus size refers to the distance between the baseline and the mean line of lower-case letters in a typeface. Typically, this is the height of the letter x in the font , as well as the u, v, w, and z. (Curved letters such as a, c, e, and s tend to exceed the x-height slightly, due to overshoot.)
YU GOTHIC
Yu Gothic is a standard Japanese sans serif type family designed to match Yu Mincho. Slightly small counters of Kanji characters and the small letter faces of Hiragana and Katakana makes the typeface highly readable.
ZIAMIMI Ziamimi is a beautiful display font. It references Art-Nouveau styles, tapping into the trend for vintage typography and is good for posters, logos or book covers.
