FAQs 1
Does SHINEFINITY contain pPD or pTD?
2
Is SHINEFINITY an acidic hair colour?
No, SHINEFINITY doesn’t contain pPD or pTD. However, other ingredients in this product may still cause allergic reactions that can be severe. Although the risk of developing a new allergy is reduced, there remains a risk of an allergic reaction that can be severe. Always perform an allergy alert test 48 hours before each colouration. If your client has ever experienced an allergic reaction to hair colourants, you should not colour. Follow safety instructions and consult education.wella.com.
Yes and no. SHINEFINITY is formulated featuring pH–balanced technology. It starts mildly alkaline so that the cuticles can swell and open slightly and the colour molecules can enter the hair shaft for optimal colour formation. Simultaneously, the pH slowly starts to drop to a gentle acidic range to protect the integrity of the hair.

What is the difference between a gloss and a glaze? Glossing is a temporary, fast, shine service. Glazing will penetrate slightly deeper and give a demi-permanent result. SHINEFINITY Colour Glaze is a ZERO lift, ZERO damage service, making it ideal when you want to preserve the natural hair and the highs and lows. Glossing is perfect for a quick shine boost as an add-on to any service when minimal tonal change is needed.

How do I know which SHINEFINITY shades to use when I’ve used another colour brand? We have created specific comparison tables with other colour brand shades and how you can achieve them with SHINEFINITY. Please have a look at the Wella Professionals Shade Chart app (Appstore & Android), or get in touch with your local sales representative, professional store, Wella Advisory Helpline or Wella Studio for more information.
5
What is the % of oxidation in the SHINEFINITY Activator?
6
What does the ‘0’ before the level mean? Does this change the level of the colour?
The activator does contain 2% Hydrogen Peroxide which when in use has a concentration of 1%; this is just one component of the overall activator formula.
The ‘0’ in front of the stroke indicates translucency; ZERO lift and ZERO damage.
