Chose the new spray system, for ease and quickness. The feet and hands are sprayed with the warm mixture, and the formula clings onto the skin, coating the surface and trapping the heat inside. There's no need to worry about scorching temperatures. Because it is a soft wax, it melts at a lower than normal temperature. The efficacy of the treatment is enhanced by the use of booties or hand mitts (check out Salonserve's range of Electric and Terry Cloth Mitts, Booties), which yield outstanding results and adds a touch of the spa-like experience.

Step 4 Hold the paraffin cartridge 2" from the client's hand at a slight downwards angle and spray a consistent spray and cover the entire wrist and palm. Step 5 Repeat the above procedure on to the top of the hand. Step 6 Lift the edges of the polythene protector at either side and wrap over the entire hand. Step 7 Place the wrapped hand into one of the towelling mitts and secure with the Velcro fastening at the wrist. Repeat on the other hand. To maintain the heat place in a heated mitt. Step 8 After approximately ten minutes remove the mitt from the hand. Cradle the client's hand in between both of your hands and gently massage over the polythene protector (this action helps to loosen the paraffin from the skin). Unwrap the top of the polythene protector, and by gripping your client's hand with your hands, slowly pull off the protector and paraffin like a glove; remove in one piece. If any paraffin residue remains on the skin, turn the top of the paraffin glove outwards to expose the paraffin and 'dab' in between the fingers or behind long nails. Repeat the same procedure on the other hand. Step 9 Once the paraffin has been removed, gently massage in any cream that may be left on the hands. The hands will feel softer, smoother and more hydrated and any aches and pains should be eased. Finally, inform your client on home care advice, by recommending suitable products.
