Welcome to the 11th edition of your favourite festival – cRoaTiaN summeR salsa fesTival in Rovinj!

This year’s festival is once again introducing some changes to the definition of a dance holiday that you’re used to, with more instructors, more venues, more hours of dance, more people and more reasons to remember your trip to Rovinj for the rest of your life. This year we’re making an attempt of uniting the cultural heritage of Istria with crazy salsa lifestyle, opening up some hot topics and discussions in salsa world, introducing some new, extremely talented dancers and taking a step towards helping all dance enthusiasts in creating an unforgettable dance event. A lot of novelties as you can see, but also a bunch of good old specialties you’re accustomed to as well as many familiar faces ready to greet you with a warm smile and prepared to put a whole bunch of memories in your bag of happiness from Rovinj!

what is a salsa festival?

Salsa festivals or congresses are events where dancers, choreographers, musicians and dance enthusiasts in general meet and share their passion through dancing. Salsa festivals are aimed towards increasing the popularity of salsa and related dances which salsa was built on. Usually, festivals consist of daily workshops held by international instructors while night program brings you the best of show performances, parties and live concerts.

Our organization team takes it very seriously to adapt the festival not only to experienced dancers, but to absolute beginners as well.

This festival is BEGINNER FRIENDLY – we will teach you how to dance salsa!

Our goal is to share passion, creativity, positive energy and to have fun while still learning a lot.

Special beginner workshops will give you the basics of salsa dancing which you will be able to practice on the parties.

If you have never danced before, this is the right festival for you!

Croatian Summer Salsa Festival is definitely one of UNIQUE festivals in EUROPE and worldwide. It is maybe the only salsa event in Europe that, next to congress halls, involves the whole town of ROVINJ as its dance stage. SHUTTLE BUS

On Friday (26th) and Saturday (27th) there will be a free shuttle bus driving from the hotel Lone to Adris Old Tobacco factory during workshops. There isn’t a fixed schedule, the bus will be circling around throughout the whole time.

VIDEO RECORDING & PHOTOGRAPHY

It is not allowed to record during the classes. However, you will be able to do it after each workshop with the permission of the instructors.

Working hours and possible changes will be announced on the INFO BOARD! The organizer reserves the right to change schedules! The festival team is always at your disposal.

There you will be able to find some festival accessories.

IMPORTANT INFO: The official currency in Croatia

is kuna, so make sure you exchange your money before buying anything.

PARTY TICKETS IMPORTANT!

Everybody has to have a PARTY TICKET in order to enter each party regardless of the wristband!

Party tickets will be given to you during your registration in the festival office. Lost tickets won’t be reimbursed and without them you won’t be able to enter the party.

GET AROUND TOWN QUICKER…

…on wheels! Rovinj is a small town and you can get anywhere within 15-20 minutes, but if you want to save more time and get around town in flashes you should consider renting a bike from our official partner Lucky Way.

Why not combining a boat trip with an awesome beach party? If you’re up for that, AMARIN beach parties are just about right for you! You can enjoy spacious pebble beaches with a great view over the Old Town of Rovinj and work on that tan to make everybody back home green with envy once you return. Or you can join the party, sip your cocktail and move to the best Latin beats. starting from

monday 22nd june from 2 to 7 p.m. you and your friends can enjoy the sun with a cocktail in your hands and selected music by our djs every day throughout the whole week!

Boat schedule Boats will be leaving from 13-21 every half an hour depending on the number of people waiting at the dock.

An ecstatic crowd moving to salsa, bachata, kizomba rythms and r’n’b and house beats, all instructors in one place, two floors, ruedas in pools, wild animations… you can find everything on the crazy Pool Party in Rovinj! Find out why the ticket for this party is the most wanted one at the festival!

We have organized buses to Villas Rubin Resort on Sunday 28th June so make sure to put on your wristbands before entering the bus and don’t take them off until you come back, since they’re also tickets for the bus. The buses will be leaving throughout the whole day starting from 12.30 p.m. in front of Adris Old Tobacco Factory.
