Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon The Annual Meeting celebrates the Chamber’s legacy of doing business in Utah. At the event, the Chamber releases its Annual Report, which outlines collective successes of the organization and celebrates an ongoing vision for the future. In addition, the Chamber honors volunteers and partners who have shown exemplary support over the past year by committing their time and abilities to advance the Chamber’s mission and bolster the business community. Business After Hours Business After Hours is filled with networking, hors d’oeuvres and opportunity drawings. Each one is uniquely hosted by various venues throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Come connect and build relationships with other business professionals at this networking event. Giant in our City The Giant in our City award celebration honors an individual for their exceptional and distinguished service, as well as extraordinary professional achievement. The award is widely recognized as the most prestigious business award given in Utah. Member Orientation The Membership Orientation is a great way to learn about Chamber membership. By attending this orientation, you will receive an overview of the Chamber and member benefits, network with other business professionals and determine how best to get involved and fully take advantage of your membership. Utah Economic Outlook & Public Policy Summit The Utah Economic Outlook & Public Policy Summit is the state’s premier economic forecasting and public policy event and hosted in partnership with the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute. The Summit presents an opportunity for attendees to gain insights on the future of Utah’s economy and the business community’s policy priorities for the upcoming legislative session. Women & Business Conference and ATHENA Awards Luncheon The Women & Business Conference and ATHENA Awards Luncheon is full of inspirational speakers who share valuable business insights to further professional growth. In addition, the Chamber also recognizes business and community leaders at the event for the accomplishments of those helping to make a difference for women in our community.
CIRCL E L EV EL EV EN TS *These events are for bronze level members and above. CEO Events The CEO events are exclusive executive events for members who contribute at the Gold level and above. Classic Golf Tournament The Classic Golf Tournament is a high-level networking event that usually includes a 4-person scramble. Members are encouraged to include community leaders and business colleagues in their foursomes. Governor’s Mansion Reception The Salt Lake Chamber Board annually hosts a private reception at the Utah Governor’s Mansion. The special guest speaker is Utah’s 18th governor – the Honorable Spencer J. Cox. Legislative Business Champions Awards The Legislative Business Champions Awards honor legislators who are supportive of maintaining Utah’s pro-business environment. This designation is closely linked to the Chamber’s Priority Votes. Legislators who align their votes with 90% of the Priority Votes during bill passage receive this prestigious award. Legislative Reception The Legislative Reception provides the opportunity for members to network and discuss pressing policy issues with the Utah State Legislators, Chamber leadership, public policy committee members and circle level members during the legislative session. Washington, D.C. Trip The annual Washington, D.C. Trip is an extraordinary, high-level networking, educational and policy development opportunity. This trip brings together Utah’s business leaders with members of our federal delegation and other policy and business groups headquartered in the nation’s capital. World Trade Center Utah Diplomatic Luncheons The Chamber, in partnership with World Trade Center Utah and the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity hosts diplomatic luncheons periodically throughout the year.
S IG NAT URE P ROGRAMS The Salt Lake Chamber offers a number of signature programs that help businesses grow through events, webinars, town halls and professional development opportunities. These programs serve to keep our members informed on critical issues and provide resources that benefit their businesses, helping them build their companies and the economy in our state. Business Women’s Forum The Business Women’s Forum helps local businesswomen develop professionally and personally, and provides networking opportunities through a series of bi-monthly luncheons and mixers. Every event has a presentation from an accomplished local speaker, thought-provoking roundtable discussions and spotlights a non-profit organization. Diverse-Owned Business Accelerator The Diverse-Owned Business Accelerator is a cohort program designed for diverse small business owners to enhance skills, direction or strategy for their businesses. Attendees learn how to become more efficient, effective and successful in their businesses by establishing a business strategy roadmap and 90-day action plan, constructing a brand style guide, clarifying revenue streams and much more. Government Affairs Boot Camp The Government Affairs Boot Camp is an intensive two-day boot camp every fall. This program is designed for new and experienced government affairs professionals, company executives and public policy advocates to learn how to improve their effectiveness and understanding of advocating in the state of Utah. Leadership Utah Leadership Utah, the Chamber’s signature leadership program, is an exclusive experience for mid-and upper-level management professionals to gain insight into the opportunities and challenges facing our state and at the same time become more engaged leaders. Over a year, participants attend monthly tours that allow them to expand their networks, hear from key community leaders, and learn how they can best support our ever-changing society.
IN ITIAT I V ES A Business Vision for Utah’s Energy Future The Chamber, with assistance from the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute and R&R Partners, prepared the Business Vision for Utah’s Energy Future. Utah’s business community envisions an energy future that places Utah at the center of the nation’s energy transition by harmonizing environmental and economic progress to ensure a balanced low-carbon energy future that remains affordable, reliable and sustainable. Fair Chance Hiring The Chamber and Utah Community Builders have created the “Fair Chance Hiring Guide,” a new resource for the business community to learn about hiring individuals previously involved with the justice system and make a positive impact on the lives of those seeking a second chance. Gender Wage Gap The Chamber, in partnership with the Women’s Leadership Institute released the “Best Practices Guide for Closing the Gender Wage Gap.” This guidebook is full of policies, programs and actions companies can implement to help close the gender wage gap. The Utah Compact on Immigration The Utah Compact was developed over several months by groups and individuals who were concerned about the tone of Utah’s immigration discussion. The Compact is based on Utah values and we urge our leaders to use these guiding principles as they address the complex challenges associated with a broken national immigration system.

The Utah Compact on Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion The Utah Compact on Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is founded on the principles that all people are created equal and that all Utahns must have a truly equal opportunity to prosper. It explicitly acknowledges racism as a system of ideas, beliefs, practices, structures and policies that give some people greater opportunity than others. Utah Rising: A Free Enterprise Vision for Utah’s Economy Utah’s business community has come together to create a statewide economic vision – “Utah Rising: A Free Enterprise Vision for Utah’s Economy” – driven by proven principles, while outlining opportunities for ongoing success and sustainable growth. Spearheaded by the Chamber, in collaboration with the public and private sector across the state, the vision will address critical issues with innovative, long term economic solutions for all who call Utah home. Water Champion H2Oath The Chamber and Utah’s business community acknowledge that water is our most precious natural resource. We recognize that how we manage water today will affect nearly every aspect of our future. We acknowledge that Utah is experiencing an unprecedented drought, and we all need to do our part to protect and efficiently use the water supply. At the event, the Chamber releases its Annual Report and recognizes outstanding organizations and individuals for their support of the Chamber’s mission. The Planning Committee provides support in creating the event. International Committee The International Committee is for business and community leaders interested in international business issues. Military Affairs Committee The Military Affairs Committee is dedicated to fostering strong and mutually beneficial relationships between military installation units and local businesses. Through comprehensive presentations, in-depth discussions and firsthand tours of military facilities, the committee facilitates a profound understanding of the role the military plays in our national security, innovation and community well-being. President’s Ambassadors The President’s Ambassadors are a group of Utah business and community professionals who donate their time and energy to serve as official goodwill ambassadors for the Chamber. These ambassadors promote the mission of the Chamber within Utah’s business community and represent the Chamber at community events such as open houses and ribbon cutting ceremonies. Small Business Committee The Small Business Committee promotes and represents the interests of the small businesses community, this includes businesses with less than 100 employees. Committee members help amplify the voice of small business for the Chamber, advocate for small businesses and evaluate and develop resources for small businesses. Gardner Policy Institute before every General Legislative Session. At the event, the business community releases its legislative priorities and shares insights on Utah’s economy. Housing & Homelessness The Housing & Homelessness Committee is a vibrant, collaborative initiative that brings together a diverse array of stakeholders — government agencies, nonprofit organizations and businesses — all united in their mission to address the growing gap between housing demand and supply. Focused on tackling the affordable housing crisis, this committee advocates for and implements forward-thinking policies, impactful projects and effective strategies to boost housing availability and affordability. By harnessing the collective expertise and resources of its diverse partners, the committee aims to develop innovative solutions and create sustainable housing options that benefit the entire community. Natural Resources Business Council (NRBC) The Natural Resources Business Council is a dynamic assembly of professionals, experts and stakeholders from key industries such as energy, environmental conservation and agriculture. This council delves into indepth analyses, fosters insightful discussions and crafts strategic policy recommendations to address the unique challenges and opportunities within these fields.
