Meet Fashion Illustrator Lana Leonteva

Hometown: I was born in Russia, Far East. Now living in Rotterdam, The Netherlands How did you get started? Tell us a little about yourself. Since I was little, I loved to draw. I studied 5 years in art school, after 6 years at a university in a fashion design area, where we drew every particular day :) After graduation from the university I moved to China where I worked in design and production of fashion garment for more than 5 years.

Since long time ago I was dreaming about a freelance job and to be able to work independently of location. And then my dream came true when I had to quit my 9-6 job and move to another country because of my husband’s job. In a new country I had no job, no friends.

With my husband`s encouragement, I decided pick up my pencils and watercolors and be a FASHION ILLUSTRATOR  I opened my Etsy shop and started to take custom requests from all over the world.

Three adjectives to describe yourself.

Curious, courageous, Motivated

What do you enjoy the most about fashion illustration?

Gathering new ideas and creating mood boards, also trying new materials for drawing.

What do you not enjoy about fashion illustration?

I love everything about fashion illustration.  Favorite color?
