Report - The Last Meeting - March 21st (written by member Elaine)
Lots of discussion on the way we use language today. It seems we speak and write in shorter sentences which shows in advertising as well as poetry and prose. Lots of laughs while looking at some haiku on the market today. Where do we draw the line between traditional haiku and some of what’s written in the 21st century that calls itself haiku? Lots of ideas how to address writing outdoors and how the simple things change when your step closer or farther away from them. We hope friends of the group will join us at Brockholes on Saturday 30th March, we will meet in the cafe 10.30 - 11am before heading out for a wee while.
