PALATE DEVELOPMENT A blend of striking, vibrant colors balanced with neutral tones defines the eclectic and creative nature of the client’s lifestyle as creative small business owners in a historic Wisconsin town, rich in performance, architecture, and craft. Originally constructed by architect , DR Jones in 1917, adaptive reuse of this schoolhouse transforms its cavernous, drafty interior into a cozy home , with deep tones advancing to create intimacy and drama, much like the surrounding village’s deep- rooted theater and arts culture. Refurbishing the original architectural features of the Italianate-style structure with application of bold colors refreshes and personalizes the space while honoring the historical context by creating a lasting impression.
The home features high contrasting, deep tones paired with natural and classic textures to emulate the clients bold, creative, and artistic presence in their hometown.
