WORK EXPERIENCE VIACOM - MTV NETWORKS - New York, New York Planning and Design Intern
My responsibilities included maintaining the resource library, project documentation, and assisting in space planning and design development. When working in the resource library, my tasks would include organizing fabric bins, organizing and maintaining the sample binders, attending vendor presentations, and updating the inspiration board with new finishes and project photos. Project documentation was a process where I created binders with photos and specifications of the finishes and furniture for a particular project. My assistance in space planning and design development included creating Auto-CAD drawings, observing and recording field measurements and conditions, and creating elevations to represent wall graphics and material choices. Other daily responsibilities involved attending construction meetings, assisting in receiving furniture deliveries, overseeing installations, and checking for pricing/lead times with various product orders.

RUSTIC RENOVATION A CONTEMPORARY TWIST ON A TRADITIONAL HOME
PROJECT: BALDWIN RESIDENCE RE-DESIGN DATE OF CONCEPTION: 2014 PROGRAMS USED: SKETCH-UP, PODIUM, SHADERLIGHT, PHOTOSHOP Beginning with architectural layouts of a cabin in Weston, West Virginia, this assignment required me to gut the house of it’s traditional interior layout and create a space that is easily circulated through to acommodate the many guests that the home owners have. Specific requests included updated appliances and contemporary features, yet still keeping the character of the cabin with exposed wood and a natural color scheme.

The kitchen holds an island bar with an extending table feature to accomodate extra guests. The master bedroom features a fireplace for aesthetic and functional purposes in the winter, while maintaining the rustic features held present on the main floor. The kid’s bedroom is host to a more vibrant color scheme to promote creativity and inspiration.

A VIBRANT FLAT FOR THE YOUNG DESIGNER PROJECT: CITY LOFT DESIGN DATE OF CONCEPTION: 2012 PROGRAMS USED: SKETCH-UP, SHADERLIGHT, PHOTOSHOP

Given the layout of an empty apartment at, our charge was to design a space for a young, single designer who’s needs included a space for entertainment, an intimate kitchen, and a private sleeping area. I lofted the bedroom and separated the living from kitchen area, giving the client her wishes of privacy. Given the up-beat city location, I gave the space life with a vibrant color palette while keeping it professional.

THE WRIGHT PLANES A DESIGNER INSPIRED ART DISPLAY
PROJECT: PAINTED HALL ART INSTILLATION DATE OF CONCEPTION: 2013 PROGRAMS USED: SKETCH-UP, AUTO-CAD, PHOTOSHOP, SHADERLIGHT
While attending the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, England, I designed a temporary interior exhibition structure intended for displaying various glorified artists’ work to view before enteringThe Painted Hall in Greenwich, England. Inspiration for this design sprung from Frank Lloyd Wright and his architectural and interior design of Falling Water.
2D/3D DIGITAL CONCEPT DIAGRAMS
Beginning with prelimninary concept diagrams, I was able to create a linear relationship using various proportioned planes while keeping balance and continuity through the use of materials. Programs used were Auto-CAD and Sketch-Up.

This structure features recessed lighting along the steps leading up to The Painted Hall, and track lighting installed within the planar features to illuminate the art being displayed. This adds depth to the structure and allows the viewer to experience the dierence in materials being used.

ROOM TO RECOVERY A HOSPITAL ROOM DESIGNED TO PROMOTE HEALING
PROJECT: IDEC STUDENT COMPETITION DATE OF CONCEPTION: 2014 PROGRAMS USED: SKETCH-UP, PODIUM, PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR
PERSPECTIVE RENDERING // FLOOR PLAN Patient to family centered care is centered on the patient’s road to health while accommodating the family’s ideas and choices based on their values. (St. Jude) This means accommodating the family in the patient’s room, and allowing them to communicate and share complete information with each other and doctors. Families who are caring for sick members are in need of compassion and collaboration to ensure that their time there is most effective as possible. (Brigham and Women’s Hospital) The physical presence of family members yields a great importance as they can provide first hand support and keep the patient feeling happy to have company from the people they love. This means that not only is the patient to be cared for, but also the people whom they love and will spend time assisting in the healing process. (Emory Healthcare) Thus far, the patient to family centered care is based around the comfort and health of both the patient, and their family.
• Stimulate a restorative environment by incorporating family visitor comfort ability needs • Advocate sustainability by the use of eco-friendly materials and finishes • Provide technology that offers the patient a different means of communication
WEST ELEVATION // FLOOR PLAN // FRONT EXTERIOR VIEW A child’s healing process relies heavily on their ability to feel happiness, comfort, and a sense of hope. The concept of the Room to Recovery is to provide a passage for curing, promoting recovery through means of family, and environmental livelihood. While pain or suffering might be evident, the approach of an interactive environment used in hand with organic foundations cannot allow such feelings to dictate quality of life, and in turn help promote personal conquest.
