A book I crafted for the Introduction to Imagemaking course by CalArts on Coursera.
This book presents a quiet but contemplative narrative about the unique characteristics of the true Spanish horse. It begins by telling a story about the origins of the Andalusian horse. I played with the scale of the silhouette in comparison to the text and was surprised by the result. Moving on to the next spread, it shows an immediate zoom into the coat and unique texture of the horse. Finally, the last spread is very minimal because the running horse already creates a sense of motion and athleticism, which is a major feature of this horse. I ended with a final quote, written by a royal duke, about the Andalusian horse. This gives a hint about the historical role Andalusian horses played.
