THE PAST TO THE PRESENT Belvidere Center, Vermont
Unincoroprated communities are regions of land that do not have their own government
Belvidere, Vermont is an unincorporated village in the town of Belvidere in Lamoille County, Vermont. It is along VT Route 109 and nearly 8 miles north of the village of Johnson. Up until recently, Belvidere Center had its own post office. The post office was open from 1887 - 2004. The village does have its own zip code, 05442. Local history you can see in the area include Morgan Covered Bridge which is also known as the Upper Covered Bridge. It is one of two covered bridges in Belvidere and was built in 1887. When visiting Belvidere Center you can hike Belvidere Mountain which is part of the Long Trail. Scars on the mountain from Asbestos mining as recently as the 90's can be seen from the summit.
