ANNUAL GEORGIA TOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING 2018 The legal voters of the Town of Georgia are hereby notified and warned to meet in Town and School District Meeting at the Georgia School in Georgia, Vermont on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 A.D. at 10:00 in the forenoon to transact following business not involving voting by Australian Ballot. Said Australian Ballot voting is to be from 7:00 in the forenoon until 7:00 in the afternoon. It is also estimated that if this proposed expenditure and the proposed budget (Article 2) are both approved, education spending per equalized pupil will increase by $177.23, or 1.34% over such spending for the current fiscal year. ALBANS, VT The St. Albans City Council will hold a first reading and public hearing to consider proposed amendments to the City’s Land Use Development Regulations. The purposes of the amendments are to clarify what sort of development requires subdivision approval, increase conformance with 24 V.S.A. Chapter 117, and remove the requirement that the Development Review Board Chair sign plats that have not been approved by the DRB. The proposed amendments include: Section 202: Amend the definition of Subdivision to remove the stipulation that construction of a second principal structure on a lot shall be deemed a subdivision of the parcel. Bondville, Vermont is an unincorporated village in the town of Winhall in Bennington, County. The village is located along VT Route 30 and is 10 miles west of the village of Manchester. Bondville has its own post office and zip code, 05340. The post office has been open since 1850. The village is nearby to many attractions in the area. The Stratton Mountain Access Road begins in the town and skiing is a popular activity. Stratton Mountain also provides golf, yoga, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dogsledding and more. Bondville is also home to the Bondville Fair, the oldest continuous fair in Vermont. The Fair has been running since 1797 and is held around the end of August.
